This one-sided extremist idea you have of "the" muslim is redicalous and very narrowminded. And this talk comes from the people who say leftist are brainwashed by CNN to believe in the fairytale of global warming. Well I guess you have been looking at Fox a bit too much to come to this extremist idea of muslims. Keeps you in a state of fear so Bush can continue his war I guess.

EDIT: So muslims want to kill everyone and also kill eachother? Christians would never do such a thing. There never were any problems and bommings in Northern Ireland. Catholics and Protestants live side by side very peacefull.

Who likes to go fishing?
Time
When I was younger I went fishing a lot. Lately I didn't fish anymore. This year I want to start fishing again. I especially like fishing for predatory fish like pike.

Normally I only fish in fresh water. But during a few holidays in Norway I went fishing in the fjords at depths of 300 meters. That was really cool.

So, does anyone here have good fishing stories? Or pictures of your catch?

I think we can agree that no matter what we believe there is a chance because of fossil fuel burning we change the climate but it could also be a natural change. We just don't know enough about it. But if there's a chance WE chance it shouldn't we do something about it, just to be sure? The chance there will be a terrorist bomber on the plane you are flying is very very very tiny. Of all the millions of flights, how many have been blown up? Yet the rules and restrictions for flying are ridiculous nowadays. What is the chance your plane will be blown up with liquid explosives? It's next to zero but I can't even take a bottle of shampoo in my handbaggage. This fear of a plane being blown up is also completely "blown" out of proportion by the media. I may take a little ammount of shampoo (or any liquid) in transparant plastic bag now. So, why arn't we a bit more careful about the climate change which could affect millions if not billions on our planet?

Marvolo, I'm not mad at all and I'm sorry if I sounded mad. It is so difficult to express yourself by just a typed message (plus english is not my first language).

Wow, Nanner Split, I didn't think anyone would still know about my little ehmm... mistake about the 9/11 conspiracy thing. I got a bit carried away then.
EDIT: When you say you can't take my political views seriously is that because you're not sure if I'm playing around a bit? If that's the case, that 9/11 thing was the first and last time I did that.

But about discussing things at this forum, there are huge differences of opinion but I hold no grudge against anyone. Everybody should just say what they think.
When I say I hate George Bush I mean I don't like his ideas and decisions. But as a person he seems like such a nice guy to hang out with. And I really mean that. I don't care how much your opinions differ, at the end of the day you still should be able to have a barbecue together and have a good time.

EDIT: I think He's back! is Obi Jeewhyen. Although, since I read the other threads I don't think so anymore.

Oh my god! It's unbelievable everybody thinks global warming is a conspiracy theory designed by evironmentalists.
Drilling for oil helps a forrest? You have got to be kidding me! For your information, a healthy forrest cannot exist without dead and rotting trees. Besides it takes decades if not centuries for forrests and their ecosystem to recover.

I can't believe a lot of you don't think humans are a big part of the problem. The temperature and rainfall records were broken again and again the last few years. Of course the climate changed big time in the hisory of the earth but not nearly with the enormous speed that it is doing now. We are already halfway through the winter were I live and the temperature hasn't even been below zero yet which is very unusuall. In my garden there were flowers growing last month that only grow in april and may normally.
We push carbon dioxide into the air every year that took the earth millions of years to absorb. Ofcourse we influence the climate, a lot.

Chapter playlist: seamless playback. Testers needed please.
Time
Hi,

I made a test dvd to see if I could create a chapterlist that can be played back seamless. It would be great if a few people could download it (http://home.planet.nl/~dikk0003/Seamless%20playback/) and burn it to a rewritable and check if both versions playback seamless. It's about 17 mb.

It's a clip from Star Wars. One version is the original star destroyer fly over followed by the chase seen from the front. The second version is the 2004 fly over followed by the chase. So I would like to know if the transition from seeing the star destroyer from behind to seeing the tantive IV is seamless.

I tested it myself on 2 different pioneer dvd players and a sony dvd recorder. On all the machines it played back seamless.

Star Wars Edit: DC/Faces audio + 2004 video Hybrid (Released)
Time
As you can add different audio tracks you can also add multi video streams and that's called multi angle. But the specifics of the streams have to be the same (same length, same GOPs, etc). You don't have to have multi angle for the entire movie, you can do it for certain chapters if you want.
Seamless branching is different from multi angle because you can basically make a playlist of chapters and play them in any order you want (so no same size, Same GOPs etc.). But to make a playlist play seamless you have to order the info in such a way it plays seamless. And that's difficult. But I've been playing around with it and I think I can make almost any playlist play seamless, jumping gaps of multiple gigabytes. It's not true seamless branching offcourse, it's semi seamless branching but it plays seamless. I have to do more testing, but it would be so cool if you could for instance in the dvd menu choose between an all digital Battle of Yavin or an all original models Battle of Yavin.
