Making links in DVD lab pro
Time
For the credits you can select "backgrounds" and open the jpeg. Then you create another menu and use the "credits background" as background. Then you rightclick the credits button in menu 1 and link it to menu 2.

For audio options you have to make another menu with 2 buttons, 1 for each audio track. You rightclick the "options" button and link it to the audio selection menu. You can rightclick the audio track buttons and link them to the correct audio track.

Click "VTS 2" one time to select it and press the delete button on your keyboard.

How much longer will the format war last?

And since the video was uncompressed, LD fast-forward and rewind still kick DVD's ass. So much smoother and incremental.

But yeah, other than all those things, LDs sucked.

Yeah, I miss the nice big jog wheel on DVD player remotes. That is an awesome feature of LD!

but all of the formats at the time were analog, so this really wouldn't have made a difference.

Ofcourse it would. Why pay more for another analog format if it's more of the same?

oh my God. (sigh) no, I won't do it . . . Can someone with skills in logic please explain Arnie's logical fallacy to him? I don't have the patience.

Politics thread wore you down?

What I meant was in terms of picture quality LD didn't stick out much unless you bought a really expensive LD player. Had the format been digital with a higher resolution it might have caught on better.

Burning Dual-Layer Discs For The First Time
Time
Do you still have the same burner? Did you update it's firmware?

Does the problem still occur with the latest version of ImgBurn? The latest version has a lot of changes and fixes.

Do you get the same error when you do a test burn (simulation)?

Also, do you use the setting "when saving leave at least 32k between ifo and bup"?

Do you use the seamless layerbreak option when selecting the layerbrake just before burning?

I've only had one error with ImgBurn. I couldn't burn a certain .ISO but I got the error before the actual burning started so I didn't loose any discs. Eventually I gave up. It must be so frustrating burning a discs and having an error pop up during finalizing. It would drive me nuts too.

If nothing else works I would buy a new burner I guess.

A little bit back on topic, this is an interesting reference. According to this, Ferris and Hilary Clinton are extremely close.

Now I know that damn thing ain't right!!!

I think ferris is closer to Obama/Edwards and lordjedi is close to Clinton.
I have to say, ferris, lordjedi and Darth Chaltab, you guys are much closer to the Democrats than you are to the Republicans. Pretty close to John Kerry also as far as I can see from the other graph.

Btw, does the "state-imposed collectivism" mean I'm a commie?

Well if that was true I could be the next Ghandi.

Yeah, I noticed. LOL.

I have to say there should have been an option "I couldn't care less" for every question. With a lot of question I felt forced to take a side while I really didn't care or didn't have an opinion.

Team Fortress 2

A lightning strike ended my TF2 fun and it killed my beamer and TV also.

My modem got fried. I got a new one (Thomson Speedtouch 780) and I can forward ports but I can't play because everytime I start a game within 10 seconds it freezes and I get the error message "WARNING: connectivity problem. Autodisconnect in 25 seconds". This sucks.

Love me...love my Star Wars obsession?

Well, I searched google for the video and found numerous links to it, but they all lead back to the same page silverwook linked to. Anyway, it wasn't that huge of a deal, just a guy who has a room in his basement full of all his Star Wars stuff. His wife complains because she feels that he spends more time in his Star Wars room with his collection than he does with her. She called Dr. Phil (not sure if you know who he is, he is a fake TV psychologist who has his own show where people come on and talk about there problems and he helps them work it out while cracking a lot of dry jokes and making the audience laugh.) In the video they mention going on the Dr. Phil show, and the guy says that he was nervous and thought Phil would tear him apart, but he ended up taking his side and after it was over Phil bent over and told him that he had a really cool Stormtrooper costume (or something to that effect). Know you know as much as we do I think. Did I leave anything out anybody?

Yeah, I know Dr. Phil. I watch his shows sometimes. But I never thought he was a Star Wars nut.

Arnie, I just tried the link, it works fine for me. It has a short commercial or ad at the beginning that you have to wait to finish before it will show you the video. Is that maybe what you were seeing?

No, first I get a Suzuki commercial, after that I always get a car bomd aftermath, a suicide bomber aftermath or IED aftermath video. They are different every day. I see a lot that's related to wars but I'm missing the stars.
