No way. I found Skyfall a moderately good action flick, but as a Bond film it is hugely overrated.

I've recently picked up a video capture tool to transfer video from my vcr to my computer. I just wanted to preserve some of my old tapes. Did all 16mm cameras shoot at 24fps?
If so, then I wonder what a 24fps recording of a 25fps broadcast would look like.
I tend to enjoy the classic series more than the new one (even though Christopher Eccleston is my favorite Doctor), but I still enjoyed the special.
I would have preferred more shots of the TARDIS knocking over Daleks...

Any encoding bugs in the MPEG2 stream were caused by my DVD recorder (Panasonic DMR-ES10). As I've mentioned earlier, the most recent release is a quick-and-dirty VCR->DVD Recorder capture; no post-processing was done.
It played fine in VLC on my desktop computer, so I didn't see any need to re-encode it, but I do regret not doing so now.
Also, don't forget that if it's free, then the "average person" shouldn't complain about having to put in some extra legwork. It's an inherent part of the deal.
