Harmy's STAR WARS Despecialized Edition HD - V2.7 - MKV (Released)

Well, I went to bios, changed all the booting options to UEFI only (some were set to Legacy) and after restart, it didn't recognize the DVD as a bootable device.

I have to run and I won't be able to get back online until later tonight. Read over the following and post here to let me know if it helps at all.

Info Wanted: a good preservation of 'From Star Wars to Jedi, The Making of a Saga'?
Time

Assuming that burned-in subtitles are a no-no, then I think the best we can do at the moment is a nice preservation of the NTSC VHS tape. I can send you a sealed copy if you think it'll help, poita. I currently have no gear that can chew through Macrovision.

Unfortunately, the PAL VHS tape is a just another crummy NTSC->PAL conversion. :-/

I actually figured it out - I used these instructions on the non-system HDD and it worked just fine and I made two partitions on it, one large one and one small one, to which I'll install the Windows on re-install and then after the re-install, I'll do the same with the disc which currently has the system on it.

Excellent! :-)

Well, I didn't choose to partition it this way - in the menu when installing Windows and selecting where I want to install the OS, the HDD space already showed up divided into two 2TB chunks of un-allocated space, which it was possible to allocate and two 746.52GB chunks of un-allocated space, which it was not possible to allocate.

Interesting. I guess Windows doesn't use GPT for partitioning during installation.

Are you willing to reinstall? The easiest way to do this is to use a Linux Live CD (e.g., Ubuntu) to do the partitioning prior to installing Windows.

So, I've hit a bit of a snag with the new computer - on each of the discs, there's exactly 746.52GB on each of the 3TB drives that the system simply refuses to allocate to a partition. I tried looking for solutions online but no luck - so far, I only managed to find out that I'm far from being the only one with this problem.

You partitioned the HDDs with MBR rather than GPT. MBR only partitions up to ~2.19GiB, hence your loss of 746.52GiB.

Here's a detailed explanation of your problem (see post 2): http://forums.seagate.com/t5/Desktop-HDD-Desktop-SSHD/Hooking-up-3TB-seagate-barracuda-drive/td-p/102204

GPT FAQ from M$: http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/windows/hardware/gg463525.aspx

Are these internal or external HDDs? If external, then what enclosure are you using and how are you connecting it to the computer (e.g., eSATA, USB)?

My teacher, who is a total ninja with all things concerning audio and also a Grammy-nominated record producer, recently invited me to intern at his recording studio.  It's only been a few weeks but already extremely interesting, and a very valuable experience in many ways.

I really appreciate the confidence he has shown in me, and that he took notice of my dedication without my having asked for any favors (other than taking his class again so I could practice more).  I don't know where this is going to lead me professionally, or if even anywhere, but it's a great opportunity nonetheless.  I couldn't have asked for a better mentor, or a better friend.

Congratulations!

I give you less than two days.

I'd give him a bit more time than that. He's unnecessarily abrasive, but hardly a troll.

But putting that aside, I guarantee this is someone's sock, most likely someone previously banned.

I stand corrected.

Has the sound mix been decided for T2 Team blu project?

Apologies if it has. Will talk in another thread about it.

I will post the specs to what we do when the time comes in its own new thread, this thread really is not ours anymore so I will not post here.

Thanks

So why would Team Blu even care about making customised Blu-ray discos for The Terminator and Terminator 2 Judgment Day if they won't share any of their uploads on sites?

Talk about whipping a dead horse six ways from Sunday I tell ya hwhat.

Who said that Team Blu won't share their work? I didn't get that from DJ's post(s) at all.

but don't believe the dcp source lie.

So what's the source?

the person who originally created and shared this release didn't reveal it, possibly to protect his source. it's only known that the wowow cap is based on the same source.

Interesting! I wonder if he/she has access to BttF2 and 3 as well.

So it is from a D1 maybe?

Definitely not D1. D1 is strictly for SDTV/Rec. 601.

How come some torrent links on MS are no longer available?

Popularity (or lack thereof).

BitTorrent is all about playing the popularity game, even on private trackers. This is why I prefer Usenet.

Doesn't Usenets cost money every month? How incorrigibly intrusive.

It depends on whether or not your ISP offers Usenet access. If not, then so-called "premium" Usenet access (e.g., usenetserver.com) does cost money.

I see nothing "incorrigibly intrusive" about having to pay for a service from which you derive value.

Usenet is not P2P. Running an NNTP server that supports binaries is absurdly expensive.

... and it's still better than BitTorrent.
