Help Wanted: Star Wars films with audio description. Can anyone help out??

So right now I'm transcribing the descriptive audio into a text script file.  I am also despecializing as I go, replacing some British idioms (some of them sound very bad to a US listener!), and making occasional corrections for things that are simply wrong, but more-or-less keeping most things the same.

When done, we will have scripts that our golden-voiced member (Barry White was unavailable, so I'll try to get Mavimao instead) could read.

We need an OT.com Hall of Fame for stuff like this.

CatBus: You rock and deserve to be in it because contributions like yours are what make this community such a special place.

What's the best order to use when watching the Star Wars saga?

Really? Is the first time I hear that someone prefers episode 1 over the other two, also I can't find any reasons why you can't stand episode 3 at all being the most consistent one of the PT with the OT. Also for me Jar Jar is far more annoying that Anakin in any movie so...

I find Jar Jar to be significantly less annoying than Hayden Christensen's wooden Anakin performance. I'd take "meesa" and "yousa" over "I don't like sand" any day.

With that being said, I think you'll find that many around these parts prefer Episode I over the other two. I think it has more to do with our opinion that it feels more like a Star Wars movie than the others, despite its overall low quality. This is probably due to its tone and the fact that it visits a planet (namely, Tatooine) very familiar to OT fans.

I don't like Episode III because I believe that its attempt at a dark tone feels artificial and forced. I also don't enjoy 45-minute-long lightstaber duels. The following post might help you understand why I like Episode III the least. http://originaltrilogy.com/forum/topic.cfm/Episode-VII-Discussion-WARNING-HEREIN-LIE-SPOILERS/post/731906/#TopicPost731906

That reminds me, a short while ago I happened to stumble upon a website by one "patman",  who among his many interests did list "Star Wars". I do wonder if it was our own patman?

http://www.patman.org/

Unlikely. IIRC, our pat man is like 16 and that website says "maintaining an internet presence since 1993".

Out again all last night.  This morning it was out until I cleared my cache on my phone.  Seems like the cache thing works for a while, until it doesn't work and I have to do it again.

And I haven't been able to get on with my PC in who knows how long.

Switch your DNS servers to google DNS. ( I can't send the link because I'm on a phone, but search "using google DNS") This should hopefully fix it.

Seems to be working so far.  Thanks!

Yay!

Episode VII: The Force Awakens - Discussion * <strong>SPOILER THREAD</strong> *
Time

WARNING: Giant-picture-post ahead. Click here for the next post in this thread. Thanks.

----------------

Am I the only OTer sick of Darth Vader?

The OT is the only SW-related media I enjoy. I haven't really been exposed to the EU at all and I, like many of you, don't enjoy the PT.

With that being said, I just don't find images like the following cool at all. I wouldn't ever make this my PC background. It stinks like teenage B.O., testosterone-filled LAN parties, and slimy energy drinks.

wtf

Has it always been this way? I don't remember Star Wars being so clearly-marketed-to-hyper-teenage-boys in the mid-90s.

Does anyone really enjoy these silly massive multicolored lightsaber battles? I don't even think twelve-year-old me would consider this "cool".

wtf

Is this what people want? If so, then I feel very... different.

I come to Star Wars for moments like this one.

yay

And this one.

yay

Now—don't get me wrong—moments like the following are a lot of fun, sure.

fun

But that doesn't lead to this party. WTF is going on here?

wtf

There are plenty of ANH edits using ANH:R as a source.

Any theatrical ones?

I'd pretty much like to watch pre-SE ANH adywanized.

But if there are going to be changes like upgraded effects, why not use the SE?

I shoud have clarified; sorry!

By "pre-SE" I just mean the cut, not the SE changes; that is, (SE - extended Mos Eisley entry sequence - Jabba the Hutt scene - others?)^adywan.

I'm more than happy with the SE and Adywan changes (just not the additions!) in this context.

Hello! I have somehow wandered into this place and found what seems to be something I've dreamed of: a fixed version of NOTLD 90. But, being as this is a private community...is there anything a noob such as myself could do to acquire this amazing sounding item? I torrentleech access, and invites, if that might help...

That makes two of us. They uploaded it to cinematik which is an invitation only website.

I'm more-than-willing to upload it elsewhere.

In fact, someone on Cinematik tells me that it's already uploaded somewhere else as well.
