I'd be willing to bet the first teaser we get has a shot of Mark taking his hood off ala Sir Alec in SW. And audiences will go crazy. ;)
Agreed!

The Clone Wars has established there are a lot of Hutts. Would be interesting to see a young agile Hutt who is more "hands on" in their misdeeds.
Well, I didn't mean a Hutt, exactly. I'd be happy with some alien gangster weirdo.
Re-posting this from the Disney thread...

I'd prefer to get away from the Jedi vs. X type of story. Why can't the Jedi Order come back into existence without having to defend itself from being wiped out?
Instead, I'd really like another JabbaTheHutt-like character to be the main "villain".
I'd like to see Jedi & friends traipsing through underground dens of vile gangsters, reestablishing themselves as keepers of peace.
Most of all, I'd like some subtle humor and lightheartedness, a good character-driven story, and a sense that the movie doesn't take itself too seriously (whatever the hell that means).

Also, real puppets, please.
Opinions?

Rendering and CPU power I think, can anyone here honestly tell a difference in clarity between Harmy's version and the 1080p official Blu? I sure cant. Maybe if you're sitting inches away from your monitor lol
http://swrevisited.wordpress.com/2012/11/20/why-720p-for-revisited-is-enough/
Scroll down and read the part starting with "Harmy".
And, no, I'm not mixing up Despecialized with Revisited. Harmy's opinion influenced Adywan.

The question whose answer we all may dread, is Jar Jar still alive?
Nope. Jaxxon killed him with a laser blast shot through time.

.
Well, let's hope he did!
Spaced Ranger: "blue channel noise" isn't unique to Star Wars. It's a common and well-known defect of (most) film and is a side-effect of the fact that light transmittance through film is the lowest in that channel.

What you really mean by "most" is that there are certain original elements which border on unknowable as to what exactly they looked like originally, so you won't exactly claim "all" of them as fixed.
Also, he kept many (not all) of the new wipes that were done by Pacific Titles.
I agree with his decision to keep these, as it's impossible to notice the difference while watching the movie and there's no HD source available for the original wipes yet.
You'd have to do a side-by-side, frame-by-frame comparison with GOUT to see the difference and even then it's minor.

Though I think Anakin in AOTC and ROTS was even more annoying and repulsive character than Jar Jar in TPM.
Agreed.
Let's hope Disney does a better job getting convincing acting out of the actors in Episode VII.
I actually think the problem wasn't the acting. The character itself was designed and written to be an annoying, arrogant, greedy, hypocritical moron. Hayden just did a good job portraying that character. :)
I see. I haven't ever looked at it from that perspective.
You're right. George Lucas just wrote a shitty character. :-(

PT is only a back-story to OT and should therefore be watched after OT.
... if at all. :-)
Hehe, I personally wouldn't watch it but I am trying to speak in general so I don't offend anyone who likes PT. :D
Truth-be-told, I enjoy The Phantom Menace, but I think that's just because the laserdisc is so amazing. Also, Creepy Puppet Yoda.
If I am honest, to me TPM even feels a bit like OT at times, unlike AOTC and ROTS.
I feel the same way.
Many complain about Jake Lloyd's acting, but I thought it was fine. Jar Jar is the real problem IMO.

There’s not enough makeup in the world to make Fisher look human anymore.
I don’t understand why she would want to be in this film.
That is not someone who belongs on the big screen.
Ford should vanish as well.
All that is needed is Hamill’s version of Obi-Wan (Old Luke).
The word that all three seem to be coming back reeks of desperation. That first line can certainly be construed as an insult.
Wait... are Darth Hade and imperialscum the same person?
Of course not... Anyway why didn't you jump on this Darth Hade guy who actually wrote something insulting?
I did.

So what do you think, guys?
Did I make ridiculous accusations?
Did imperialscum set me straight?

I remember your avatar from The People vs. George Lucas documentary when they showed OT.com.
All I remember is seeing Jay and being like: w00t! w00t!

She has tons of make-up on all pictures posted on this page... sadly make-up can't fix the neck fat.
I think her new line will be "Help me CGI, you are my only hope".
You win. A+!
Nothing, and I mean NOTHING, demonstrates that one is a good human being more than using a forum on the WWW to insult a celebrity actress without her knowing.
Just how was I insulting anyone? Point one thing in any of my posts in this thread that is an insult.
I did not even say she looks bad. All I said was that (in my opinion) she doesn't look much like Leia in OT.
Are you telling me that "sadly make-up can't fix the neck fat" wasn't intended to be insulting? Are you saying that you were simply stating an observation sans emotions?
It's still insulting to call someone fat even if said person is fat and acknowledges that he/she is fat, publicly. It's unfortunate, but the fact that "fat" is an insult is widely-known in America.
I must've hit a nerve. It's funny that you chose to reply to my reply even though you had several others to choose from.

Think I started with this. Believe it or not I'm old enough to have come before the new forum software with custom avatars :PThis was my second avatar because I was a 14 year-old who thought the only good music was classic rock. Jay added it to the forum for me. my first was the default wookiee avatar.
Smart 14 year-old. ^_^
Jethro Tull FTW
Thanks, guys.
More, people! More!!!
Does anyone even check what print sources look like? Or think to possibly do some research as to how the look was intended to be???
Some post-houses do. I know we do around here. :-)
The worst case of revisionist colortiming I've ever seen was the Night of the Living Dead (1990) Blu-ray release. Thankfully, I didn't buy it. I'll stick with my DVD copy until DJ/You_Too's project is released.
Should we mention minor cases of "teal & orange shift" in this thread?
yoda-sama: I know (and knew) what you meant, but I'm a sucker for pedantry and ball-busting. :-P
