Finally got around to joining this forum, and just want to say that Adywan, you are doing amazing work .
I really hope the Lucas crew is watching what you do so they can learn from it and fix things for the Blu-Ray releases!
Welcome aboard ;)
Im sure ILM guys have other stuff to look... :)

Actually, one thing I must ask, is there a comparison anywhere of the lighsabers from all six films? They change every film, I know, but a side by side would be helpful.

One i can say. I used lot of knowledge and Tabasco to get that detail back to reality....

First pic: I tried with simple (and doable) technics that axe look sharp rather platic hasbro like. And yes i dont like the idea of vibroblades like the magna guards in ROTS :P
First time i felt into frustration with the lightsaber glows. i mean WTF already here.
I also lowe the horizon to be some sky visible to add some more color there.
Ady...with my blessings fixing these damn glows!
Edit: Im happy because i found a new technic for the glows. And as you can see th results are far better than the previous^ comparison :D
Take a Blu screen to play :D
Note: See the hands? I found them in the green glow :D

Well i was surfing here and there and i saw this:
http://www.boston.com/bigpicture/2009/09/dust_storm_in_australia.html
I like the zero visibility effect (like old mad max) and creates a mystery for a concept for Geonosis.
Play with silhouettes and retro ways hiding things i think it can work. if its meant to keep the orange make it with style :P
And again similar feeling from this artist ( no name yet :( )

You won a signature quote there Ripplin :D
And michael rocks :D
-Angel
"Hoh! Computers can do that?"
;)
-Angel
Understood sir :D
I ll se what i can do in the later mockups to show more burn-marks rather Dismembers >:D Again remember!
Stylized action to get the bigger picture ;)

What if instead of Qui-gon, we have Dooku the whole way? Change Qui-gon's head to Dooku's, and maybe cut a few Qui-gon moments.
With Photoshop!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Nice mock-up, but I just don't get why all these people look like they're made of metal inside, Angel. ;) Does burnt flesh look like molten lava? Heh.
Actually...yes!
Well imagine something that can molten a metal door what can do to skin. Again most of the mockups are stylized to show an event with the best visual approach.
Now imagine in the next frame of my mockup all that heat gets away. ;)
I believe he is mimicing the look of Anakins saber going through the seperatists bodies in ROTS. It wouldn't last for very long on screen.
Yes here is my source.
Now depends where it cuts, how much skin it has etc.
But to be honest, Those decapitations in ROTJ can be done only in specific locations. Like in ROTS a careful placement of burn marks/sparks and glows can enhance the visual interest of the battle.
Now if you consider background replacements more vibrant corrected colors and all other shit here and there, there you have it.

huhu!
Take a bunch of OREO cookies by me ;)

Angel, I did something fun with your Rancor mockup.
;)
Actually i was thinking how we can make solo's awake more decent.
If you ignore the gel on han's face, the organic wax something look around him, makes the transition from the hot timpana to the solid one rather just solid.
-Angel
Hehe Good one up there :D Bingo is Generating ideas more fast than rapid fire.
005 are you going to update the list ?
;)
-Angel
I edited my post Mr V ^
now i hope you can see them
-Angel
First i played with the colors just for fun to make the sandhole pop up..
Then i thought how we can help the comp and make it more dramatic and less centered? The benefits of the 3d pic is we can have a camera focus play from luke to hole ;)
I post 3 pics. who ever cant see the third because of the image cropping then right click and view image!
-Angel
I use the same pic all the time for the desert :P Its stylised enough to keep the feeling up :D
Not only added a perspectively correct blass and a more menacing angle but interactive lightning as well.
-Angel
Replaced the poor background and reveal some set detail in the shadows.
If we are going to apply bingo's idea that R2 can use his thrusters then R2 can be already in the boat. Also added some more sand texture.
C3PO can be taken with a lasso as well.
EDIT: Who loves Violence?

I'm seriously going to attempt a full attempt at taking Jar Jar out of TPM completely. It will take me some time, and I'll be incorporating it with my TPM edit, but I think I can do it. I'll be using Photoshop to paint him out of every scene of his that's left. It'll then be a simple matter of taking his audio out of the scenes.
huhu! do you have any previous samples of rotoscoping/removing elements from a footage?

Some of Angel's ideas have already made it into ESB:R Lord V so while we may never see exactly these changes (well not yet) they serve as pointers towards what may be attempted.
Adrew Kramer says that is possible!
Easy? No!
