Cobra commander?

In the OT there are really only 3 kinds (Storms, Snows, and Scouts.)
And Sand ;)

The shutters idea (if i got it right) during the space battle seems not possible. Not to count the big sun highlights that is already there on the floor and mostly 3d track a footage seems a bit tricky to do it.
Nice work on the red lasers AAL.
Sure i can see some hue banding and pixel clipping but sure its an interesting idea to reduce even more the rainbow colors of PT.
On the other side, removing the camo color from the troopers is something that i love but considering the amounts of roto seems like an frustrating but exciting task itself!
Keep going :)

Just one point since we are on the invisible hand topic.
Remove palpatine's chair rotating when the jedi arrive.
He is captive not the emperor ;)

The explosions in OT especially in ANH are just glows.
The explosions in PT and later OT films are more detailed sprites(images that always look at the camera)
Have only glows in ROTS look efficient from one hand but it needs some more detail from the other
-Angel
When Anakin and Dooku first clash their sabers there is originaly a camera shake for no reason. With your concept now makes more sense, if you add explosions or boom sounds.
I liked the Green lasers(finaly)!
Never thought that the Red lights will look better as blue. Count that as +
I Like the concept of dooku throwing ben away but it gets confusing from what angle he sends him. I think flipping the first shot so Dooku throws him with a better subconscious way
Since i like the only Glows as explosions ROTS has been established a more detailed concept of explosion sprites. Maybe you want to take a look of that.
Good work commander!

Yeah, I always likened this shot to the hangar shot from RotJ, where there's lots to look at - little details and people walking around. I don't think it's necessarily a bad thing that there's not a particular focus to the shot, but I definitely see where Angel is coming from.
In the end, I took out the lighting on the V-Wing in the corner. Because it's dark in the original, and it looks really grainy when I light it up.
On the other hand a nice big star destroyer hangar as establishing shot wouldnt be a bad idea.
Clone wars and various sources can give us a hint of how this hangar looks.
Maybe a wide to close shot will help the OT feel.
That would require massive ammounts of work tho.(i can think a few solutions)

And a new comparison shot!

Reminds me something l did before :)
Its curious why a hangar of a battle ship has to many round corners and round motives in the ground. Not to mention the polished reflective surfaces.
I liked the "selective lighted" troopers(in the corner), but i think that was the thing that ILM did in the first place to tone up obiwan and the others. Focusing on both points might be risky.
-Angel
It might happened offscreen when the troopers were deploying.
i like the visual interest here

I think the most good addition on this are the AT.ATs at the end when the MF escapes. Really solves the mystery why they are gone and reminds me the promo picture of the battle aftermath.
Good work

I guess your gonna really dislike the next posts I'm planning for 'Dagobah' eventually...
Good to hear that! Nice to see that this idea is not dead yet

Yuck. And it still doesn't explain why Annikin's body didn't disappear.
You can have his head disappear because we can assume the cyborg parts are holding the body together ;)

If you flip the canvas the perspective (we see the bottom of the round edge) helps more to sense that its on a wall and not its a floor. Roto out Luke might be an option if it doesnt work nice in motion.
A simple solution yes, yet effective. (credit he knows who ;) )

That was not a given for me. I always thought those vents were present on the sides and bottom and he finally made it to the bottom, which always seemed unrealistic because simlpy falling or even being sucked in (which I assumed) would have still been quite damaging to his body, even with the sloping tube. Very interesting, but I agree that it would be nice if that were visually made clearer.
Why not tilt the view horizontaly?
-Angel
No to mention that the motion in these shots...
...is very wrong. Its like reversed footage and the camera stops very sudden.
If not anything a nice smoothing and less locked up camera would make the scene flow more natural.
-Angel
Hey ady, Will the this snow speeder model for the shot when the AT-AT crushes it?
-Angel
Now with all the facebook wordpress Google+ and twitter for the revisited project is this subject really fits here?
Can this forum be focused on the "only about edit" discussions?
Random chat can be done elsewhere i think

The idea that the officers are talking over Coruscant about that the senate has been dissolved makes a sense of narration that the station is over everything and makes its presence above the law and senate decisions.
Have tho so intense traffic going in and out of the planet (galaxy's core) the news of the station should travel rather fast so the station
At the end being hidden and then decide to destroy alderran instead of Dantoine makes the demonstration of its power to maximum capacity rather be in the center of all the eyes.

I always thought it would have been cool in ANH, if when the blast doors close on Vader as the MF is taking off his saber plummets thru the doors ala Qui-Gon style and started toc ut a circle in them.
Nah just give him something more menacing ;)

I love the new colors but, the same as all of PT, it still looks too CGI and cartoonish.
What is your suggestion about on this matter?
Filming new props change it will mattes?
-Angel
Watch your black levels. never forget the clipping values
The colors are supreme :)
-Angel
The part that falls down its not his hand but an antenna part.
His hand probably was cut off way to early and it could be sucked from a air tube minutes ago.

Yeah, I have to agree he's a tad too puffy, haha. I thinned out his neck, but I'm not sure I can do the whole face without compromising the shot.
How you managed to miss this? :P
The char needs roto but i wasnt focusing on it :)
