Star Wars is not an historical documentary about the GFFA, it’s a fairy tale that is maybe somewhat based on true facts. Like all fairy tales, entertainment is more important than the truth!

If you’re gonna argue that, I found it extremely jarring as a child the first time I saw the pre-SE version of RotJ with some weird old guy in the place of Anakin.

I think they’ll stick to Christensen as Anakin since they’re specifically adapting the films and tend to reuse a lot of audio directly from the source material.

And am I the only one who prefers voice acting? I find it makes the games more immersive (although the dead serious bits do admittedly clash with the plastic toy aesthetic).

TBF, there is an abundance of Prequel edits out there already. Maybe most people now have a cut they find satisfying.

I disagree about the PT not having an iconic ship like the Falcon. It may not technically be a single ship, but Padme’s vast array of chrome ships with identical interiors are functionally the same. They may not be quite as iconic as the Falcon, but they’re still noteworthy.

The way I see it, either the Death Star isn’t fully destroyed in ANH, or you scrap it entirely from RotJ. Given how iconic the incomplete Death Star is, I’m leaning towards the former. Plus, all you’d need to do is edit a single shot (the explosion) and some of the crawls. It’d be super easy, barely an inconvenience.

How 'bout go all the way, in that case? Nic Cage as Han, Peter Capaldi as Yoda, Joe Pesci as Mon Mothma, etc…

I think they’re both improvements. Leaving Ghost Shaw in there would be a plot hole, IMO, as unscarred Shaw never existed.

The portion that’s “under construction” in RotJ would be the part that blows up in ANH.

Honestly, Empire Strikes Back is a fairly middling entry, imo, but we’ll see how I feel when I get around to it in my ongoing rewatch.

I’m currently in the very early stages of planning a Miraculous Ladybug rewrite. The show has some much potential but is let down by a repetitive formula and childishly flat characters. I’ve wanted to tackle this for a long time, but my interest was recently resparked when I had the idea to use French pop singer Alizée for the soundtrack. The show is set in France, and her style matches that of the main theme. I’m thinking of doing a movie instead of a show, though.
