You just HAVE to put "I've been using since I was 12!" in there somewhere. Preferably everywhere.

Have you given someone the voice of George Lucas yet? I think that should be in at least one of these.
Posting on page 69.

I laughed repeatedly. I say it works.
Huh. I saw revisited, and The Empire Strikes Back Despecialized, and didn't hear them. Ah well, I'm making too big of a deal out of it anyway. Although it's a real treat to get your first Frink riff.
I don't know why, but it bugs me a lot how unconvincing it is.
Someone please tell me that leia kissing Luke before swinging across the bridge, and kissing han after saying "You do have your moments" have added sound effects in revisited? Her merely bumping her head on them really bugs me. They just need a very light smooch sound.
I completely understood what annie was saying. Except for the cans of beans line, had to rewind that. I really love what you've done with him in that scene. Their relationship never worked in the original, so making annie a druggie, I dunno it just really works for me. First line had me laugh out loud already.
Jesus man. He's so obviously right! Can't you see it?
There's a trilogy and Obi and Boba films coming up. Disney is SO milking that shit.
Just came here to say, that I love your edits Frink! They're certainly my favorite pt edits. It keeps me coming back to this site, even moreso than revisited.
That ric ollie dream video was just perfect, except for that tatooine line which was hard to hear.
I'm still equally excited for this after all this time.
I think it would be good, once you have a release day set for any current and future project, to make a little teaser for it. Send it to kotaku, starwars fan sites etc. Now to draw people in they need to know how this project differs from other versions of these movies and what makes them special, and how much work was put into them. So flash some text on screen and make it dramatic.
This summer.

Don't forget the edit that gave old Mr. Jackson his best line ever.
I think the line delivery is perfect. That is, I can tell since I'm looking for the cut, and you could possibly smooth it over more. But if I weren't thinking about it, which I wouldn't if I were watching a whole movie cut, there'd be no issue whatsoever.
You get a good set up, but the joke doesn't work. "famous character dies, he's dead now, chewie looks sideways." isn't a good punch line. There needs to be an ending so unexpected you can't help but laugh. Maybe Han Solo actually gets C3P0 to do it, because he's a smartass like that. We all think it's han solo and bam, we get c3p0 yelling and getting burned. Or maybe he's got explosives on board, and you use the "warp drive don't work" footage/lines to make em not able to go off. Or it turns out the core he's meant to crash into is shielded, like in episode 6.
Is it such a big deal? Is it? The story's what's important. Also important is the style of the movie, the look of it. I don't think the explosion makes much of an impact on that one way or another. It'd be cool, if any vfx artist has the time, but even as far as vfx go I think there's better things to do. Like the death star explosion, deleted scenes restoration or improvements to action scenes.
I'd personally take the classic "in a galaxy jada jada" blue on black text and have it say "Ten years later. . ."
Also, if your villain is Darth Maul, maybe it's not such a good idea to take out a cool fight scene with him. Meaning the one on tatooine. It shows he's after Anakin, making him more important to the plot, and also gives him something to do as a character other than fight on naboo and get killed.
You asshole. Your trailer is so good it made me think of the lost oppurtunities of the prequels again. Curse you! I never want to feel that feel again.
The original trilogy's negative was indeed cut and put back together as the 1997 SE. But the original footage remains untouched in numerous transfers.
So I think that, although it may take years, disney will eventually create a new master transfer from those.
Why would he release a trailer for something never to be released. Why would you market a non existant product, so to say?

Well, if anybody cares I've decided to just use the blu ray track.
What do you think of removing the whole notion of a "strike team" being mentioned in the briefing scene? I'm thinking also of completely removing han, leia, chewie, and all "familiars" from that scene and have it just be a brief rundown of the plan, showing the aforementioned characters but not having them speak, because everything they say is unbelievably hokey and campy.
Or maybe mentioning the strike team, but not having it directly said that Han is captain and all the "General, count me in" moments. I'm hoping it will work to just mention that there IS a strike team, and having the audience infer who it is when we see them all together in the imperial ship. Even if the audience doesn't infer that, it's not really a loss to the story.
Any opinions? Interest in this edit seems to be fizzling out, but that's probably my fault due to the on again off again nature of me with this project. For what it's worth things in my life have settled down and I'm nearing completion of my musical project I've been working on (Non SW related) so I will have some of my "creative" time freed up soon.
My personal problem with that scene is the fact that Han, a mere smuggler, is a general. As well as Lando. Other than that you can keep the rest in my opinion. I haven't watched that scene in a while though, might be more I dislike.

I'm not a BR fan.
What one should keep from Episode 1:
Obi-wan and Qui-gon are shown aproaching and landing on tatooine.
Darth Maul is seen landing too.
Obi-Wan and the gang retrieve anakin and move to the ship.
Darth Maul intercepts them and attacks.
They fight him off and leave.
They fight over the chosen one, if you will.
Then, the nabooians reclaiming their planet, qui-gon dying, and the funeral.
Those are the only entertaining or passably written parts.
No gungans, no coruscant, no jar jar.
How in the heck is this not made yet? Every nerd in the world splooges his pants over this movie, but apparantly, faneditors are like: "Meh."?
How's this for radical?
Make the jedi council and the republic the villains.
Make the Seperatists/Dooku the good guys.
The federation would be the beginnings of the seperatists, replacing sidious with dooku and replacing the dialogue it is set up that they attack naboo (changed to alderaan) in a political gambit, a desperate attempt to defy the fascistic leaders of the republic.
Qui-Gon Gin's actions in the movies have always been arrogant and counter-productive. We could explain this by making him an egotistical typ of character.
Think about this: The Sith have been extinct. They were hiding of course we know that, but there aren't many. The council believed them to be extinct. So the jedi are the only force users for hundreds if not thousands of years. And then there's a prophecy to bring balance to the force. And they think that would be in their favor!
It's all a perfect set up to switch the roles around, I would say.
Count Dooku's death in the third movie would have meaning to it, the story would be more emotional as the seperatists lost more and more, resulting in an utter defeat and complete ruination of the republic.
It's like with the rebels in the ot, but it goes the other way.
Yeah, I think that the length and arguments in this thread just go to show how good revisited is, so we get in a tizzy over things that aren't real problems because Revisited has no real problems.
The emperor needs a damn grievous one wheeler to get from place to place it's not logical that he walks so slowly it's not logistically sound! If you do not agree then you are close minded!
