Why Leia remembers Padme but Luke doesn't
Time
Maybe... she didn't even die. Maybe she faked her death and later hid on Alderaan, where she lived with Leia for a few days. However, Palpatine finds out she's alive and sends Boba Fett after her. He chases her across the Alderaan mountains until she eventually finds a trunk to hides in. But Boba Fett eventually finds her and kills her.

Sounds like a Lucas explanation™©® to me.

yeah, me too. The thing is, I don't know any more SW fans now than i did back then with the excpetion of these boards.

And I like the EU to a point. I like the inner dialogue and that sorta thing. I only go for the older stuff though, and the stuff that comes after the OOT in terms of the EU books. I don't get into the comics and the Role-playing game can be fun.

How do ya feel about the live-action EU?

The truth about remakes...

Yeah, that's about the nly time a remake has the slightesyt chance of working; when they take something original and give it their own creative twist. Note that I said "creative," which precludes the Dukes of Hazard movie from being on the list.

Exactly. He says that Bast surviving was the only element of the holiday special that is disputed canon-wise. The reason being is that there are two opposing sources that contradict each other as far as his survival: Steve Sansweet's star wars encyclopedia claims he died, but Bast's card in the Star Wars customizable card game suggest that he survived. Plus, ANH suggests that he would have survived, given his concerns he tells Tarkin.

Exactly. It's like with Bruce Lee. He developed a fighting style where he would distract his enemies, making them think he was going to use some big fancy move, but instead he gives them a round-house kick in the stomach, knocking them off of their feet. He then kicked and punched and beat them into submission. And Bruce Lee taught Chuck Norris and they both used it, along with all of his "followers" of his fighting style.

Hmm....no, those have all been done time and again. We need a fresh topic for arguing.....

Maybe we could just copy and paste those arguments so that we'll both sound like we know what we're talking about.
