Guys, I've noticed an interesting trend of sorts.

When I was reading the reviews on Amazon.com for the THX-1138 director's cut, almost every review was of someone bitching and moaning about the changes he made for his directors cut.

Then when reading the review for the new boxset of the Narnia books, nearly every review had someone complaining about the fact that the publishers were now packagibng these books in chronological order, rather than the order in which they were released. They always gave the same reason along the lines of "I read them originally this way, so everyone everyone else should." They always said it ruins the story because it wasn't the way they originally read them.

Hmmm... kind of reminds me of something...

Can someone give me a link to this interview that claims Hayden was not aware he was filming his scene for ROTJ? I'm asking because, in a recent interview, he never mentioned such a thing.

His vision changed, which is why he is now making the OT fit with the PT. He did the PT exactly how he wanted, and is now making the OT fit with that as best he can.

Cool! Where did you hear this at? I really wonder though, if it will actually have the extra scenes, because I've heard that Kubrick asked that the film not be released with any type of features like that, other than the basic trailers.

The coloring decision was done "from a certain point of view." If Lucas is so interested incontinuity, why didn't he make sure that the coloring was the same? All they would have had to do was switch the WS/FS coloring on the OT set, and everything would yhave been fine.

That really pissed me off as well that they didn't establish continuity between the color styles. Hopefully, they'll fix this for the 2007 archival editions.

It is my understanding that Kubrick cut about 20 mintues of footage from 2001. I believe it was mostly scenes from the beginning that would explain the science around the movie or something. And then there were a few short scenes onboard the Discovery. Does anyone have this or know where to find it?
