If you turned it off before the chick fight between Patricia Velasquez and Rachel Weisz, you returned it too soon. Any moment beyond that was certainly too long to watch though. Hey cool: Both their names end in "z." That may be the most interesting plot development in the film.

Aside from Manos (an easy target) all of these new films keep getting listed. What about some atrocious films older than some of you neophytes? Films by Ed Wood do not count. How about some real bona fide time wasters:

Mario Bros.
Lock Up
Howard the Duck (sorry, but it's true)
Dirty Dancing
Staying Alive
Flashdance (refer to those last three as a 'trifecta')

Damn skippy. We got in free, but I still wanted my money back. I really only stuck around so I could write a scathing review the next week. I remember saying something about a "droopy-feathered sequel."

I recall your review being far nicer than what I'd have written. You showed some restraint that I wouldn't have. I just remember how MUCH I talked up that movie before it came out, dragging everybody out to see it, and then actually walking out on it leaving you guys sitting there. I came back in for the finale though. But ick!

Clone Wars (2003 animated series by Genndy Tartakovsky) - a general discussion thread
Time

I realized there is no thread on here dedicated to the discussion of the Clone Wars animated … whatever you call it … series? miniseries? collection of animated shorts? Volumes?

Anyway, it being a fairly cool bit of EU that did the important job of bridging Ep II and III, it certainly involves a thread, now that both volumes are on DVD especially.

I wanted to know if anybody noticed that one of the featured characters belonged to the “Wolf Man” race that Lucas excised from ANH in the SEs. Am I the only one who picked up on that? The fact that this race would be singled out in such a manner perhaps hints to some serious O-OT coolness on the part of Genndy Tartakovsky. But I never saw this mentioned anywhere.

Her or Alicia Witt. Either one. Even Lauren Ambrose. Natural redheads know how to portray that redheaded temperment. Kirsten's blonde shows through in her personality.

Info & Help Wanted: Article on Fan Edits
Time
Perhaps. I suppose even I've considered removing a couple of bits from ROTK EE, but the other two films I wouldn't touch. Getting a hold of more unused footage would offer an opportunity we don't currently have though. In a perfect world we'd have access to all the SW footage shot, including Obi-Wan's saber frying out underwater in Ep I, The Lost 20 subplot in Ep II, and Shaak-Ti's other death scene ... where Anakin kills her on her raid on the temple ... in Ep III. Not to mention Wampas dismembering snowtroopers in Ep V and the sandstorm in Ep VI. Getting footage that isn't available is every fan editor's dream, so if that was available, even for good films, then you bet I'd be interested.

Actually, I've been hearing serious rumblings of Warren Beatty. If he runs on the Bulworth platform he could actually take Arnie. Whether or not he could actually govern is another question. But wouldn't we all love to see the 70-year-old-white-hip-hop candidate?

You run on that nukular power don't you? When the lights go out and you hear a kaboom, does it make you pray?
