Info: My son, the fan editor...
Time

Apparently my three-year-old has his own ideas of fan editing. Today we were surprised to find the second half of “Ten Apples Up On Top” ripped out of the book and in the trash can. Now, while we gave him a stern talking-to about not defacing books and have punished him accordingly, it was interesting to get to his reasoning. Apparently he didn’t like when the “mean ol’ bear” starts chasing the other characters with a mop.

So he opted to “edit” out that section of the book.

Now, while my natural instinct is to be mad at him for ruining a classic Seuss book that I’ve had since I was a child, I can’t help but ask myself if I’m being hypocritical. After all, look at all that I’ve ripped out or scribbled on, so to speak. Am I a hypocrite, or am I to be commended for teaching my son the proper respect for books?

9/11 - The Movie
Time
Even that suggests too much credit given to our government. Bin Laden is the fucker responsible and he has admitted as much.

Now, whether or not the White House looked the other way at incoming intelligence, allowing it to happen is certainly up for debate. I for one believe they looked the other way, not out of malicious intent but sheer ineptness. This happened on Dubya's watch. Therein lies the difference between Politics and Business. The CEO of a major corporation would have been tossed out on his ass for ignoring warning signs about a malicious attack. Voters were stuck with him another 3.5 years and then were dumb enough to put him back in.

If there were a credible conspiracy story to tell, Oliver Stone would be telling THAT story.

But back to the topic at hand, this isn't the first 9/11 movie. Technically it isn't even the second. The best 9/11 movie is 9/11. The documentary shot by two German filmmakers who were doing a bit on one of the firefighters of NYC that day caught the real spirit of the day.

I haven't seen United 93, but it seems far more respectful of 9/11 than this cheesy cash-in. This looks like something that should go on the shelf beside Michael Bay's Pearl Harbor.

Believe me, it was no hoax. Those planes really did fly into those buildings. Speculate all you want on the motives or the lack of intelligence, but don't call the actual events a hoax. I know people who died on that day.

Top Ten Favourite Movies

It's interesting to see what some people (myself included) consider to be one film when a series of films are involved. My criteria was that it had to be produced and shot as a single production. Superman and Superman II would have almost qualified if they hadn't stopped and restarted production with a different director, resulting in so much changed footage.

Others seem to consider certain movie franchises (or the good parts within them) one big film. That's interesting too.

That's exactly how I changed it. It definitely worked better. Any one of a dozen approaches would work better than the crap GL delivered (no pun intended).

Borat Movie
Time
You gotta realize, Borat is going to be the best reality film/documentary this side of F-911. The jokes in the trailer are all setups, but assuming Borat follows the format of the show, the joke is on absolutely everybody he meets in America, 'cause they don't know they're being punked.

Unless I'm completely wrong and this is a mockumentary through and through.

Sacha Baron Cohen is the greatest thing since Ed McMahon and Dick Clark.

Actually, these are quite similar to delivery forceps. I got this one. I just think it was another Lucasfilm cop-out not to have Obi-Wan deliver the twins himself emergency-style on Mustafar.

Maybe even have THAT be the cause of Padme's death, giving Anakin a REAL reason to hate him.
