ADigitalMan's Guide to MPEG2/AC3 Editing
Time
The audio has to be calculated, since you're overlapping frames. Fortunately if you clip the audio right after a crossfade you can see it.

I'm just now getting into using Vegas for this. For the first time a couple of days ago I came up with a process for this:

1) Export just the two shots you want to crossfade to an M2V file.
2) Load the clip into VirtualDubMod and save as an uncompressed AVI.
3) Open the AVI in Vegas and do what you want with it. Save as another AVI.
4) Encode back to M2V using TMPGEnc.
5) Load the new M2V into your Womble project.

The results are GORGEOUS. I'll likely do this from now on, and will use this method to do the wipes in SW whenever they eventually happen in Hi-Def.

why does vader say obi wan has trained u well ?
Time
Back before those prequels and EU books screwed everything up in the continuity, I always saw Yoda as being a native of Dagobah, not an exile there. Like a Buddhist monk or something that a fledgling warrior had to track down in order to be worthy of training, he trained Jedi like you'd teach Zen -- not via some stupid "code." If you look at the OOT without the filter of the EU or the Prequels, Vader never even met Yoda, let alone knew where he was, because Obi-Wan discovered and trained him instead, thinking he could do just as good a job as Yoda. According to the ROTJ novelization, only the Emperor had heard of Yoda, and was the one who figured out that he completed Luke's training after Ben's death.

The O-OT universe is a sensible place, where 12-year-olds aren't elected as rulers of a planet, where Zen warriors don't have a rulebook, where small children aren't trained in the art of battle, and where you don't die in childbirth from a broken heart.

President Gerald Ford RIP
Time
He was the only President ever to sit in the Oval Office having not been elected to either the Presidency OR the Vice Presidency. He replaced VP Spiro Agnew, who resigned in the midst of Watergate, and then of course Nixon. I remember an old joke that Nixon physically bumped into Ford as they were moving in/out of the White House. Nixon said "Pardon me" to which Ford replied "OK" and thus, Nixon never had to stand trial.

President Gerald Ford RIP
Time
From the beautifully warped minds of Matt Groening and Ken Keeler:
No sooner have the Bushes departed that another moving truck pulls in along with a car with license plate "Mr. Duh".

Gerry: Hi! Pleased to meet you, I just moved in. My name is Gerry Ford.

Homer: [gasps] Former President Gerald Ford? Put her there! I'm Homer Simpson!

Gerry: Say, Homer, do you like football?

Homer: Do I ever!

Gerry: Do you like nachos?

Homer: Yes, Mr. Ford.

Gerry: Well, why don't you come over and watch the game, and we'll have nachos? And then, some beer.

Homer: Ooh!
[they walk across the street]
Gerry, I think you and I are going to get along just --
[they both trip]

Both: D'oh!
