What is the most distressing aspect of the PT?
Time
Midichlorians. Unquestionably. We took the concept of a mystical force that can be communed with by anybody who believes and trains their mind and turned it into a 4400 ability, attainable to only those with the right level of nanoscopic thingies in their bloodstream. It was as if to say achieving zen has nothing to do with your state of mind, but how much brown rice is in your diet.

Similarities between Star Wars and Dune
Time
* They both take place significantly on a desert planet.
* The emperor in both universes is a real sonofabitch.
* The central character in both has to develop latent superhuman powers in order to rally his rebels to victory over the evil empire.
* Both have a bad guy who is a really "fat, nasty, greasy, fat, stank, bloated, cheesy-backed, twelve-sandwich-eating bastard" (bonus points if you can name the source of that quote)
* They both have a central character who is a son avenging the betrayal and murder of his father.
* They both have six official parts, plus a whole host of expanded universe writings.
* Film from the 80s is dark, brooding, and masterful filmmaking. Film from this decade is WAY to reliant on CGI, to the point it looks like people walking around in a videogame.
* In Dune, the sleeper must awaken. In the Prequels, if you're awake, you'll probably be put to sleep.

Elaborate and discuss.

The "Darth Editous / ADigitalMan Hybrid Edition" Info and Feedback Thread (Released)

There probably won't be a need for my version when DE is done. About all I did was restore some OOT sound elements, kill the landing on the Executor and the new dialog with Ian McD, and get rid of the smooch. If that latter bit stays in, it's not a big deal. DE's work is far more extensive and it sounds like it incorporates almost everything I did and fifty times that. I'm looking forward to this.

I'd place Flynt over Hef in terms of being a Great American, compared to a guy who just really likes boobies. Why can't we catch more of these Washington Pervs on tape? You want tact, call a tactician. You want a ass nailed, you come see Gus Petch. We need Gus Petch to "Nail Yo' Ass" in Washington.
