Star Wars Prequels/Original Trilogy: The Complete Scores (Released)
Time
Kinda found the answer to my question in your thread at JWFan:
http://jwfan.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=13494&st=80&start=80

So was there a definite answer as to whether or not (a) this was indeed the LSO vs Prague and if so (b) was it from the same sessions as the film recording?

In any case, thanks to this and to your Boston Pops Jabba Theme, I've gotten two concert suites that I've always wished existed but seemed to be MIA.

Incidentally, I've made some mix discs of The Best of SW (one for the prequels and one for the OT) and on the latter, I've cobbled together a decent theme for Lando and for The Emperor from a couple of the score tracks.

"Lando Calrissian" was taken from Lando's Palace and Betrayal at Bespin.
"The Emperor's Theme" was taken from "The Emperor Arrives" and "The Emperor's Throne Room."

Now if there were only a concert suite theme for the Droids.

Ask ten different scientists about the environment, population control, genetics and you'll get ten different answers, but there's one thing every scientist on the planet agrees on. Whether it happens in a hundred years or a thousand years or a million years, eventually our Sun will grow cold and go out. When that happens, it won't just take us. It'll take Marilyn Monroe and Lao-Tzu, Einstein, Morobuto, Buddy Holly, Aristophanes .. and all of this .. all of this was for nothing unless we go to the stars.

Well, we did that with DVD and look at the slipshot treatment it received. Apparently you need to be nerd-specific with George Lucash.

I agree. I do not yet own a HD television so the GOUT actually looks good enough for me right now (except for all that nasty grain in SW and ESB) but I'm thinking of what will be in my house five years from now. I feel the Original Unmolested Trilogy should be scanned in high definition, restored to a perfect, grainless, scratchless, slice-tapeless, blemish-free print without changing color temperature, FX, adding or subtracting anything of conceptual value, and presented anamorphically for widescreen. ALL of the original mixes should be presented as audio options in the highest quality the format will allow. For SW, the crawl should be selectable between '77 and '81. And deleted material should be restored in HD and presented as a supplement, including the original Jabba scene with the fat guy stand in.

Star Wars HD presentations should be a pioneer in the field, not a Johnny-come-lately.

Finally, somebody independent of THX should certify the release. The THX-certification on the 2004-2006 releases was nothing less than corporate nepotism.
