It's not just a question of dynamic range. The mixing is totally different on the Anthology transfer. There's a kind of far siren on the RSO version on that track you won't hear on the Anthology for exemple. But the Anthology still has too a few things the RSO version has not, as a very good stereo for only instance.

The Empire Strikes Back IMPERIAL "AUDIOPHILE" EDITION - Restored & Remastered Score - J. Williams & LSO (Released)

And has there ever been a film score as crazy perfect and beautifull as the Empire Strikes Back? It's almost unreal when you listen to it.

I agree. I like to call it the masterpiece of the 20th century film industry commercial era.

Now I'd say the real masterpiece music from a film for the 20th century is *imho* "Conan The Barbarian". But it's different, cause it's composed like a whole epic & classical piece of music, not especially as a film score/underscore, and then can fit apart from the film industry "label", mostly commercial.

So for sure (to me), ESB remains the most perfect of the kind.

Comedy gore can't possibly get more gory...it's not as funny as Evil Dead II but it's certainly visually startling.

If only you could have seen this in a theatre ! I never laughed as much watching a film than this day, the whole cinema was laughing to death. It didn't work the same at all when we saw it again on video. (Edit: speaking of Brain Dead of course).

The inconvenient with all the arcade emulators now is how it makes hard to find real Acade captures. They were so much more beautiful with the real scanlines and light blur. I used to collect all arcade screenshots in a book a long time ago.

Are screenshots on Google Image Search typically from emulators? I guess that would make sense. I don't have the eye for that kind of thing so I never noticed before (and still wouldn't). But look at it this way - if not for emulators, would we be able to post the pictures, or play the games?

You're 100% right on all points. Indeed, no one see the interest of a real Arcade screenshot due to the availability through emulators.

I even didn't noticed the fight (let's say I ignored it). I just steped in and followed brainlessly the flow of what I found to be funny pictures. And sorry to say, Bingo's post and video just matched exactly with my feeling of your position in this situation.

And I find your views on me and the way you present them insulting. At least you admit you only see things from a limited angle and have a tendency to ignore reality. You make slight jabs at me out of the blue all the time, and I usually just ignore them, so it is remarkable to hear you claim such a high level of innocence. I'd love to let everything go and leave it in the past, but every few weeks it seems to come up again.

But my thoughts and abilities for acting are currently dedicated to things that matter to me most.

Posting BS pictures and telling C3PX how very wrong he is? Wow, good priorities.

But my thoughts and abilities for acting are currently dedicated to things that matter to me most. That's between other reasons why I can't have a problem with you. If that makes me pretending to be perfect to your hears, that only holds on your personal interpretation... I'm only a "perfect" stranger here, like us all.

I have actually never really had a problem with Fink himself, he uses his powers pretty responsibly, it is his loyal followers who annoy me. A little bit with Bingowings, though I still find him enjoyable enough most of the time, but most of all with you.

So, you have a problem with me ? No disrespect but I don't have problem with you, then it remain yours. I'm not living through that place.

You rant about...

I rant about nothing. I'm well. And I'm ok with you since I don't care anymore trying to point out how much all these virtual disputes are pointless, and how you spoil yourself sometimes writing a book about x person's behaviour in the Off Topic section of a SW forum... Whatever you're right or not, please notice.

Thanks Sluggo, you said it all. ;)

What you quote has nothing to do with it (ah! I got the name: that's Wicket ! You sound like Wicket, Leia's friend).

For what you're refering to it seems you took all bad from me since I tried to make you understand your eternal rants or -whatever it is called- against Frink (and whoever !)- was pointless and spoiled the places more that the causes of your reactions.

But indeed, I noticed your effort to understand what I say (= the idea behind the words) since then has incredibly lowered... Convenient! And I'm glad you allow me this short occasion to say it. You took a lot of what I said notably in Skyjedi thread against you when I was just trying to clear things: you were like the energizer rabbit you addressed to me.

Now, if you really want to take things that serious again in a video game thread (and let's be honest: no matter the reason)... That's your life ! :)

There are certainly better things one could be doing with their time than wasting it away on video games. So I concede, all could fall under the blanket term of "childish".

I guess the same argument you are making could be made for a grown man who loved watching "innocent television" such as Seasame Street and Telly Tubbies over television aimed at older audiences.

The same argument could be made for 98% of the Off Topic section considering the kind of subjects that are discussed (or the way they are discussed). That's why I like to step here from time to time. That's the part of the forum where I don't feel the need to be too serious.

Personally, I like pictures of these games because it helps bring me back to those days, so what's the big deal?...

I love those old games pictures but not only because it brings back to old days. I really think they were far more entairtaining --- "more" is perhaps not explaining what I mean, let's rather say they had a different kind of "spirit" --- than most of the 3D shits or mega-processed games with special fx etc we see since the end of the 20th century.

There's so much creative things that we still could do in 2D !

For what is about the "childish games" words used by C3PX, I'd prefer "innocent games". A 3D fighter with a gun is not less childish than a Sonic the Hedgehog or a Donkey Kong... On the contrary! But I guess the meant was more to display his awesomeness (and seriousness!) toward us though.

C3PX, indeed... You're awesome !
