I also had the feeling that you increased the bass level in your mix...

True and not in the same time... I'd rather say I "improved" the basses, cause in some cases they needed to be lowered more than increased to have some dynamic restored. "Swamps of Dagobah" is a good exemple of that (compare the final fanfare with the Anthology).

Too much bass level like on the SE (they appear more obviously on it when you lower the abusive highs) lowers the dynamic range.

... Should we remove any word that sounds remotely like other offensive words just because we're afraid IGNORANT PEOPLE (not an insult, just a statement of fact) are not familiar with certain words and will take them the wrong way?  I'm sorry, but I don't feel comfortable censoring myself just because other people don't know better.

I concur.

To notice, there's an African country called Nigeria !

... And I always surmised it may have the same roots than the other "bothering" word.

Here's a question:

Anybody know where I could find the music Jabba's band are playing on the sail barge? Not the song sang in his palace, but the tune they are playing as the barge crosses the dessert. I've never seen this on a soundtrack- though I haven't listened to every release- and I'd love to have it.

Also, how about the version of Lapti Nek (or however it's spelled) that was actually used in the movie? The version I have has a different vocalist.

The bit you search is lost. See http://originaltrilogy.com/forum/topic.cfm/Star-Wars-Prequels-Original-Trilogy-The-Complete-Scores/post/360843/#TopicPost360843

GoodMusician has made a nice film version of Lapti Neck (you'll find infos around the post linked here).

You're just not supposed to use the actual word

I haven't caught the begining of the story (and I don't want)... Just would have I find more interesting to see explained to DS how do you consider this "famous" word exactly, what would have shown in the same time how much respect everyone who intervened use to show to their neighboors (what is only obvious in C3PX's posts)... Or something of that taste. Because telling someone that it's "no no" is the worst excuse I ever read.

Whatever, I can assure that even for an other european, DS's posts are very strange sometimes. I think this guy is a kind of german poet full of alcool and drugs. :)

... And, as a matter of fact, many white people do use those words as jokes, even in the presence of "African Americans" and great fun is had by all. It is a really silly and awkward social standard, and absolutely deserves to be made fun of...

 A little comment from Europe...

I don't know what have provocated this discussion, but here oversea we can find good jokes or bad jokes. Overall, humour prevails sometime, or not other times... Humorists on TV for instance don't make as much jokes about that than in the past (1980-1990) and visible consequences are notably a lot of hypocrysis and incomprehension coming back. "Politicaly correct" takes place !

... Besides, I perhaps inverted the cause and the consequences: I think most of these humorists have been calm down because of hypocrysis and so (from channels directors for instance).

"What is forbidden" or censored is often thus cause of a problem and an incomprehension from the person(s) who raise their voice regarding the matter.

Hypocrysis is the more common factor we may find out behind the phenomenon, and surely the worst.

... That said, please meet ball:

Special codecs?? Sorry, I don't fully understand that sentence.. AFAIK Intenso is just a label, not a manufacturer - meaning intenso discs could be for example ritek or prodisc.. You should always look for the manufacturer, not the brand/label..

Yeah, I know. I shouldn't try to repeat what I'm told by specialists... But indeed, I've been told about a matter of codecs, in the way the CDRs are programed.

Anyway, what I can repeat the better from what I've been told is that the Intenso CDRs - no matter the manufacturer (I mean the guy knows the manufacturers anyway... not me) -are made following the most rudimentary and essential book of specifications, on the contrary of Sony ones for instance wich may have a few things added.

I'm just repeating though, once again.

Taiyo Yuden CDRs are generally considered the best.

Where to you find such stuff ? Is it Japaneese ?

I found myself a place where I can get Intenso (Germany) CDR's. I've been explained that they don't have special codecs like Sony or so wich look to evolute with time. The specialist who send these only sells that label, and they're not expensive.

Any more comment about this subject is welcome.

When I born, I'm black
When I'm cold, I'm black
When I'm sick, I'm black
When I'm scared, I'm black
When I'm angry, I'm black
When I die, I'm black

Whereas you

When you born, you're white
When you are cold, you're blue
When you are sick, you're yellow
Whe you are scared, you're green
When you are angry, you're red
When you die, you're grey

... And then you dare call me a man of colour !!?

That was an exemple. What I'm saying is that it seems you tend to transpose your own emotivity, keeping a defensive position, to what is adressed to you, when there's no arm meant or even while it is postive.

Take post 152... You wrote about four lines to defend yourself regarding your intentions somehow as if I were paranoïd... I surmise then the feeling that made you interprete and reply to my post that way with such a care - when it wasn't the point - has not come alone.

That's what I was calling "taking the wrong side for yourself".

Whaterver my original language, it looked a couple of times that I understood what C3PX said while you didn't, taking for you the wrong side of his point

if you mean here that I misunderstood what C3PX was saying,  you're probably right.

Perhaps this needed a precision: I'm not searching to make a demonstration of who is right and who is wrong... I was more in the idea to point how much one can bring perspectives down, or up, depending on the way he uses his thoughts, or the way he "decides" to interprete what is said.

We're not just sharing words. There's an idea behind them. When I said you took "the wrong side of his point for you", what I meant exactly was for you to see how much a reply coming from an emotional reaction like touchiness can bring to misunderstanding. - Anyway, be assured I don't pretend to be perfect neither ;) Just trying to look forward.

Here's the blog of a Dr which may be a 1st step to look out (if you watch what is analysed, it matches with what is said in the video, even if the quantities look much lower):

Oil Spill Air Quality Updates for the Gulf Coast - Updated 6/24/10

It looks like that person works well.

Also I've seen that some people are already cleaning some regions and they have anormal strong headaches. Further researches through valuable sources may be interesting. I just pointed for who cares one or two directions.
