Team Negative1 - The Empire Strikes Back 1980 - 35mm Theatrical Version (Released)
Time

Wow! That looks fantastic - so refreshing to see the scene of Luke in his X-wing flying to cloud city without the horrible DNR smearing of the GOUT, or the almost CGI looking version from the digitally scrubbed blurays. I love how it all looks so natural, and yet has a very 'punchy' feel to it too. Lovely & crisp! Nice to see the carbon freezing chambers lighting looking that shade of orange again too - they really cocked that up on the bluray. Are you going to pretty much keep these colour settings? Really does look just about spot-on to me.

I love the cigarette burns, the feel of the real movie.
The colors are very good, the orange suite is perfect for me.
The look and feel of the movie with argentic grain and not the digital look of the blu-rays released 3 years ago.
I'm very pleased to see the real aspect of the movie, like in my childhood.

Exactly how I feel about these clips too - it feels organic again, like Star Wars should do instead of digitally airbrushed and sterile.

Love the colours and the natural looking film grain - this is how a '77 film, and Star Wars, should look!

Just for public notice. Not that we are completely ready, but at some point this issue needs to be addressed. As you can see we have made some substantial progress.

Once we are done with the first version that is viewable by our standards, we would like some feedback before the final release.

A lot of our support, through comments, material, and money has come through our blogs. (Both of them). We would like to thank our early supporters.

We have all the contact information, so when the time is right, we will send you emails about getting a bluray or DVD version of it. No expense on your part. All you will need to do is confirm your address, and be confidential about it and not share it, until it is ready. If you agree not to share, but still do so, you will barred from getting Empire, and Jedi and other future releases we have planned. We will also take preventative measures.

We would like some feedback on this procedure, and general thoughts to take into account.

Thanks

Team Negative1

Music to my ears - been following these projects from day 1 here, and over at your original blog(s) (much missed by the way!). Sounds like a great idea for distribution - not to mention very generous too, to say the very least! 'Thank you' seems way too inadequate a thing to say! The excitement levels are mounting after all these years of mouth watering project updates, clips & pictures! This is the one I've been hoping for ;)
