Thanks, I suddenly feel “slightly slower” 😃
It’s difficult to tell these days. I thought “trigger warnings” were a joke at first.

That’s ok, I thought your posts in the politics thread were a joke at first.
I’m rating movies these days using an item, character or event featured in the film. I like to think it makes for a funner, more enjoyable review, but it might just be because my pills have stopped working.
“Santa Claus: The Movie” deserves 3 festive elves out of 5, “Wild Things” gets 4 Kevin Bacon todgers out of 5, and “Se7en” (somewhat confusingly) earns itself 5 sins out of 5.
It’s a winning method and I’m sticking with it.
That used to be the way it was done around here, and then people stopped having fun.

The first sentence of your post made me think you meant something like:
“My rating of Santa Claus: The Movie is ‘Festive Elves’.” 😛
I’m glad you’re rating out of 5 instead of that.

SONIC RACES THROUGH THE GREEN FIELDS.
THE SUN RACES THROUGH A BLUE SKY FILLED WITH WHITE CLOUDS.
THE WAYS OF HIS HEART ARE MUCH LIKE THE SUN. SONIC RUNS AND RESTS; THE SUN RISES AND SETS.
DON’T GIVE UP ON THE SUN. DON’T MAKE THE SUN LAUGH AT YOU.
I used to use a complex system, until I realized that was pointless.

I used to do that until one day on FE when I was accused of being anti-Semitic, despite being Jewish. And no, I didn’t convert for the jokes.
I didn’t know you were Jewish!
Oh God all those Jew jokes I PM’d to you!

Maybe they meant anti-semantic but predictive text had other ideas.
I rate films like this:
10/10 = Perfect/nearly perfect
9/10 = Amazing
8/10 = Great
7/10 = Good
6/10 = Mostly good
5/10 = Okay
4/10 = Bad
3/10 = Terrible
2/10 = Horrendous
1/10 = No redeeming qualities
Not enough people read the EU.
So I guess 0/10 would be unwatchable
I personally don’t consider 0/10 a valid rating, but YMMV.
My favorite rating is 10/0.
But … but … but …
*head asplodes*
I feel like that means you go in expecting the film to suck, but it’s actually awesome.

The Room.
The Room is beyond awesome. Really, it’s beyond all human synonyms.
I give it a 10/null.
Now the head can asplode.

I don’t think any film is worth a zero out of ten. Every film has at least some effort put in, like picking up a camera or opening an editing program.
Not enough people read the EU.
0/10 is what you rate a movie that turns out to just be a bad Powerpoint presentation.
0/10 would be like a Neil Breen film or The Amazing Bulk
