rly.
I understand that Harry Potter has a huge fan base, but Star Wars quite literally revolutionized the way movies were made. I don’t see how the same could be said about the HP franchise.
I think this can probably be covered as a sub-question in your last thread

I know right. In terms of importance, I’d argue maybe Jurassic Park for special effects, or maybe Lord of the Rings.
Honestly though, I don’t think any franchise gets close to how iconic and how big Star Wars is.
If I asked any random person on the street to quote a SW movie, they’d probably immediately say “May the Force be with you” or “I am your father.” Said person would likely have a harder time remembering a line from a Harry Potter book/movie.
.
You could probably make the argument that no film in history has had as much an impact as Star Wars.
Star Wats. Open and shut.
Star Wats. Open and shut.
That’s not a choice. Refer to thread title.
Star Wars.
No, the correct answer can be found here.
Rejected. Star Wars is still more culturally iconic, even if one of its movies made less than others.
Thanks Ric.
Star Wars. It changed the way we look at movies.
I applaud JK Rowling for writing books that made kids want to read, but some fans need to take those reading skills and use them on other books and stop comparing everything to Harry Potter (Some SW fans do this too).
The Star Wars movies on the whole are better than the Harry Potter ones, even with the who’s who of British actors in them. As long as Emma Watson (I irrationally hate her) is never in a Star Wars we will be good.
On the merch front: lightsabers beat wands every time.
It seems like people are really embracing the new characters. In fact, the big question people ask me now about Star Wars is, “Are Finn and Poe gay lovers?” And really how the f*ck would I know? My second husband left me for a man, so my gaydar isn’t exactly what you’d call Death Star level quality. ----Carrie Fisher

So would a Colt .45
I would put this in my sig if I weren’t so lazy.
Transformers.
the biggest franchise of the last 100 years is probably McDonald’s.

“Yer a wizard, Harry!”
And that’s about it.
SW it is
I keep seeing this thread and have avoided it, but I just can no longer resist. I realize this will bump it back up to the top, but…
Was this a serious question?
Han Shot. Period.
Anyway, Star Wars and Harry Potter share the same villain: Snoke aka Voldemort.
Yeah, no.
Snoke killed Dumbledore

Does not compute.

Every post is so dense, there’s so much going on.
You probably don’t recognize me because of the red arm.
