So what would you think if they made these changes to the Blu-Ray release...

I found this as an April Fool's joke on a blog, don't know if people have already seen it...

Are the painted Stormtroopers the only difference in those pictures? Honestly, I wouldn't care how many changes they made in the Blu-Ray release, as long as they released the Original Original Trilogy with it. Like a "Saga" version that fits in more prequel stuff and a "Classic" version that only fits in with itself.

No. The guy who did this joke was really thorough. He removed Boba from the Jabba scene and added one of these pig guys from ROTJ (forgot the name) in the background. Greedo's eyes are also different as well as the color of his shirt.

Ditto what doubleofive said: I'd be totally fine with it as long as they released the original unmodified trilogy along with it on Blu-ray. In fact, I think I'd really enjoy seeing the new changes, content with the thought that I have the original version safe and sound, preserved in a hi-def format I can return to anytime I want.

What was changed in the last panel, though? Some sort of ship in the background, or was that already in the SE?

Did those rumors Lucas shot more new scenes during production on Episode III ever pan out?

My money was on a shot of Jimmy Smits in old age makeup, looking up and screaming. ;)

the 2004 dvd set will be the last time i buy star wars, unless the originals are restored. George knows where he can put the new editions of the movies and the upcoming clone wars movie.

See Adywan's DVD-9.

My outlook on life - we’re all on the Hindenburg anyway…no point fighting over the window seat.

Seriously? Could someone post a screencap of that?

It a "deleted scene" on the DVD-9 version, as much sense as that makes.  Yes, Adywan made a deleted scene from scratch, and its pretty awesome.

I think he did it with the intention of putting it in the film but then changed his mind later and didn't want it to go to waste.

Someone has been uploading clips from Andywan's project to Youtube, including that scene. It's neat, but Bail doesn't really react to the impending doom.

The one on youtube isn't the final version though

I stand corrected then. :)

Based on the other clips, Andywan could seriously outdo ILM on such things.
