Man, I saw a 35mm print of Army of Darkness last week with a packed theatre of fans, you want to talk about good times, look no further. :D
Well, that's just like your opinion (that Ash is better than Episodes 2 and 3), man.
IT'S MY TRILOGY, AND I WANT IT NOW!
"[George Lucas] rebooted the franchise in 1997 without telling anyone." -skyjedi2005
"Yeah, well, George says a lot of things..." a young 1997 xhonzi on RASSM
"They're my movies." -George Lucas. 19 people won oscars for their work on Star Wars (1977) and George Lucas wasn't one of them.
I would take Army of Darkness any day over the prequels, which shows you just how pathetic the prequels are.
“Always loved Vader’s wordless self sacrifice. Another shitty, clueless, revision like Greedo and young Anakin’s ghost. What a fucking shame.” -Simon Pegg.
I like AoD (which is not the Ash I meant, but whatever) so that's not really saying anything for me.

Aw, I'd love to see AoD in a theater.
Which reminds me, I haven't watched it in, like, a year. Evil Dead Halloween marathon it is!
Bump.

My turn.
In TPM I liked:
-Watto
-Liam Neeson's performance, but not so much his dialogue
-The podrace, except for the announcer and some bits with Anakin
-The three underwater monsters in the "Core"
-Theed
-When the doors in the Naboo hangar open to reveal Darth Maul (I think that should have been the first time we see him though)
-Most of the Obi-Wan & Qui-Gon vs. Maul battle
-The MTTs and the AATs
-The way the battle droids came out of the MTTs
In AOTC I liked:
-The arena battle on Geonosis
-Most of what had to do with Obi-Wan, especially...
-Everything with Jango (excluding Boba's part in it)
-Dooku
In ROTS I liked:
-The emotion in it, it didn't seem so fake and unemotional like the other two
-Most of the Anakin vs. Obi-Wan battle
-Order 66: the emotion and the different planets especially, but not the Anakin bit
-The reason Anakin turned to the Dark Side (the way it was done was pretty bad and too sudden)
-Utupau and the whole battle, including Grievous
-General Grievous and his wheel bike
-The opening scene up until the buzz droids came along, but they weren't that bad
-The scene with Anakin and Padme before Anakin decided to go help Palpitine
-I also like Yoda's confrontation of Sidious, but it could have been better
Overall I liked:
-The way Palpatine/Sidious was manipulating everything, and Ian's performance overall (though it was overplayed for his transformation scene)
-Mace Windu and his purple lightsabre (I would have liked it if there were more purple lightsabres and some yellow and orange ones too, to spice things up a bit)
-The gradual change of the spaceships towards the OT designs
-The Naboo starfighters and ships
-The Jedi Temple and the look of Coruscant
-The score, especially Duel of the Fates, the stuff that played during Order 66, and the emotional music during the Anakin Padme scene with Anakin alone in the council chamber
Rather short list:
- Obi-Wan. Ewan McGregor was a great choice for casting, and he's one of the only good actors in the films.
-Good Villan Concepts. While the actual characterization of these guys leaves a bit to be desired, the concepts alone for most of them are enjoyable enough.
-The Effects of TPM. I actually think the sets and effects of this film are better than the other two, if only because they look more realistic.
-Certain parts of the score I find good, but to be honest most of it I find rather bland.
-Attempt at emotion in ROTS
-The whole Palpatine plot is rather well done.
That's about it. I'll let you know if I missed anything.
I’m just here because I’m driving tonight.

LOL. I'm so used to typing AOTR rather than AOTC that I didn't even think about it when I typed it out...
TPM:
Tatooine in general. It dripped in ANH nostalgia while giving us more of the landscape and culture.
Qui-Gon was admirable.
The lightsaber duel; pure bliss and action abandon.
AOTC:
Tatooine, again, however brief (my favorite Star Wars planet).
Naboo.
Portman was especially attractive.
ROTS:
The pervading mood and atmosphere.
Ewan McGregor, most notably at the lava bank, pouring his emotions out.
Two women in my theater balled their eyes out at the lava bank scene.
I liked:
The overall look of TPM. The fact that they used film and actual models sometimes was good.
Nothing from AOTC except for the music.
Three scenes from ROTS including the crash landing on Coruscant, the dialogue-less sunset over Coruscant, and the first minute of Order 66.
You probably don’t recognize me because of the red arm.

Well, it was pretty disappointing. I didn't shed any tears, but I was sad about it. Can't really blame them.
I guess the podrace deserves some recognition. It's an awesome sleeping aid.
Wish there was more Ralph McQuarrie design in III. or even the first two films.
I hope the next ones get that same look as Ralph McQuarrie, Joe Johnston etc gave to the originals. Not the least bit interested in a shiny lens flares kind of look.
Not that the prequels could have had the right look, lived in look, less cgi more like the originals and still sucked because it had terrible direction, bad actor for the lead and a horrible script.
What i liked the Tantive IV in episode III. Kenobi's lightsaber a throwback to Star Wars 77, and Luke's in ROTJ. Anakin's being sort of like lukes lightsaber in star wars 77. The costume design was not bad but wish it was more John Mollo. I hope the new films borrow from Nilo's designs from VI but that is my opinion.

Anything involving Palpatine/Sidious and/or politics. I love that one person engineered a galactic war.
^My Disagreement Senses are tingling.
What, Palpatine was one of the only cool things about them. The prequels should have been from his perspective. It's not easy to hoodwink an entire galaxy, unless their representatives are complete idiots.
Oh. ohhh.

I can probably think of a few things off the top of my head.
Ol’ George has the GOUT, I see.
John Williams' music. It is probably the only thing in PT that is on OT level.

It wasn't that funny :-D
I like the idea that we all exist in a dark alternate reality of the poorly made prequels. I can imagine that the happy people in the "good prequels" universe don't even think about what the world would have looked like if the prequels had been bad, but we in the dark alternate universe can think of nothing else, struggling to assemble their own versions of the films from scraps and low quality releases.
This of course will be the next phase of Star Wars preservations, where timestream-hopping preservationists will buy pristine unaltered Star Wars blu-rays from more sane dimensions and release them here.

Actually I don't know either. But I guess it's a start.
