Looks like we got the better deal.
EDIT: I also noticed how different Luke looks from the first to the third. In ANH he's so youthful and determined. And then by ROTJ he's war weary and burden ridden.

Yeah, I noticed that too. That car accident never really did that much of an alteration on his face. It just seems that his nose was...changed some how. To this day I still can't figure out what exactly it was that changed. I just know it's different some how.

these covers (US and 2004 set) have "photoshop for dummies" written all over them!
the covers for the 2000 VHS edition looks like Mona Lisa compared to that!
the thing that pisses me the most is the "special edition" patch, now the original cut is the special edition?
that's lame...

Actually, the ANH picture is taken from a real still, and that's the right head with the right body. However, it's still photoshopped: see that lightsaber he's holding? That's not the one from the original still. The original still had the lightsaber from the Holiday Special in it (for some odd reason), which is a totally different handle.Now that you mention that, the ANH cover has that same problem, only worse!

If they were to ever give the OOT its own release I'd use the face covers seen back in the early ninties. I think those look really cool.

I wasn't impressed with those. I found them to be bland. I'll take the September covers over the Faces set.

Dear God these covers are rubbish, all you graphic designers who make covers for the Fan Pres/Edits should feel really good about your work, they're infinitely better than these "professional" official efforts.

The stance that they have here on the cover looks more like she is bored. I've never like that shot. It doesn't do her the justice she deserves. That slave girl costume was exotic.
