I think I liked the leaked one better but this new one certainly got me excited!

I don't know, that one kinda looks like Zilla instead of Godzilla. I did like the inclusion of the audio of J Robert Oppenheimer, physicist that helped create the Atom bomb. The Atom bomb is what inspired the original movie.
I can't wait! Haven't been this excited to see a film in a very long time.
But what if it is another Zilla movie instead of a Godzilla movie?
That trailer has more emotion, wonder and awesomeness than 'Zilla had during it's entire run time. I already know enough and have seen enough to know we won't be dealing with another one of those. Toho is releasing the film in Japan, so that's a sure sign that it's not another 'Zilla. Frank Daranbonts involvement alone has my butt in the seat. There's no guarantee it won't suck, but it has a lot going for it.

The problem with Zilla or GINO (Godzilla In Name Only) as I like to call him as he doesn't even deserve the zilla. Was that Roland Emmerich and Dean Devlin decided to create an homage to classic American monster movies using a Japanese monster. It was a decent monster movie but it was not a Godzilla film in any way.
In fact, it's pretty much just a remake of BEAST with a different title. There are a number of scenes directly lifted straight from the 1953 classic.

and just what destroyed Hiroshima and Nagasaki???? One other thing I think inspired the original Godzilla the incident of the Daigo Fukuryu Maru.
Actually all these giant monster on the rampage movies have their origins in Lovecraft who inspired Edgar Wallace to invent Kong when he reported the brief awakening of this snoozing giant.

The music in that is a piece called Lux Aeterna. Fantasic music. Written in 1966.
On-topic: Never had a strong opinion on Godzilla one way or another. I'm sure I'll see this though.
