I love YouTube’s automatically generated subtitles.

I feel like the algorithm is so used to doing world news that it doesn’t work for anything but.

This kind of stuff makes me wonder why nobody has ever made a Backstroke of the West style edit for the other movies. Dubbing the original dialogue with the butchered english would also be a plus, imagine the possibilities.
“The use of Wish Power See!”
“Your presence here with that airship? You very bold!”
“Wish Power is big with him”
Well, there are the Mawasian dubs from Ultraman and Dragon Ball.

All I can hear is a fake Bob Dylan version of Friday.

In all fairness, I think that the CGI in Episode III is better than the other two prequels. Digital cinematography advanced to decent.
But, with that said, I din’t know how bad 2005 CG was until I saw this screenshot.
Actually, Pixar movies released before this had better CG.
I’m sure the CGI is better in ROTS than AOTC, I just didn’t know it was that bad.

I was about to mention the CG R2, but after reexamination, it doesn’t seem that bad.
It’s kind of crazy going through the movie and literally being able to see all the seams. Don’t know if that’s because I’m more educated on how much CG is there, if I’m just seeing different things with new viewing, if it’s just dating poorly, or some combination.
I will say that image only lasts for a few frames (and actually if you go further in just that shot you’ll see CG that holds up much better). Obviously they must have figured it was brief enough to not notice but still, it’s terrible!
Actual movie still.
I love how everything except the foreground is movie quality.
Yeah, with the motion blur and how fast that scene moves, I never once noticed it before.
Good post, though. I like seeing that kinda stuff.

CG R2 is painfully obvious every time he rears (swivels) his ugly head.
Somehow I noticed CG R2 immediately in TFA which I initially thought meant rough CGI but comparing with the PT it’s not even close. TFA looks practically photo real (I think it’s probably just the movement that’s not quite Kenny Baker perfect and thus feeling a bit off and CG).

Yeah.
Still not sure how they pulled off the CG Kylo mask in TFA.

I’m too lazy to find to the video, but here’s a screenshot showing how they replaced a shot of Adam Driver without the mask with a CG shot of Kylo Ren with the mask on.
(*PS. Even though it says “digital Kylo Ren” wouldn’t it have made more sense for them to simply do a re-shoot with literally anyone wearing the mask, rather than creating a CG model of Kylo Ren?)
