True Blood

First two seasons were fucking great and the third was pretty damn good but from there on the show turned to shit and never recovered. From bad pacing, side characters getting way more time than they deserved (even half of an episode was dedicated to a funeral for one of these characters) and even the main story lines being poorly written at times and having little payoff. Also in Season 5 they falsely advertised what a story line would be.

I also watched Season 8 of Dexter…This one requires no explanation but I should have stopped with either Season 4 or Season 7.

I watched both True Blood and Dexter until the end, after I had stopped enjoying both of them. Dexter started sucking as soon as Julie Benz showed up.

I too watched Under the Dome… Only made it to the end of the first season and that was a hard slog.

I wasn’t much of a Rita fan but at least she had a good send off.

Also “showed up” is a bit wrong since she was there since the first episode. I’m not entirely sure you were joking or not though.

The pilot was so interesting that I felt compelled to slog through the whole season in hope that it would pick up. It didn’t. Season two got worse.

No, that would be my terrible memory. It started to suck when she became a main character? Definitely when they got married. Not sure which season that was.

Going way back to the 70’s and 80’s, I do remember a few shows that I did continue watching after…

“Space 1999” First season was strange and interesting, second season 100% complete crap. But I still watched them all.

" V (the series)" I watched every episode, none of it was good.

"MASH" After Radar left, the show just became lame. Still, I watched it till the end of it’s run.

"After MASH" Saw every episode, yet I still don’t know why I watched this show at all.

Chuck: Lurved this show for the first couple of seasons, got steadily worse once he actually became the cool spy he wanted to be.

I would say that it started becoming lame when the complete original cast was no longer there (it lost the chemistry the characters had), and then it simply got worse when Radar left. Whenever it shows on television, I’ve found the BJ mustache to be a good indicator of when I don’t want to watch it.
It doesn’t really matter much to me, though, because I like the film more than the series, and the novel is exponentially better than both combined.

"After MASH" Saw every episode, yet I still don’t know why I watched this show at all.

I’ve actually wanted to see that for some time now (morbid curiosity), but I couldn’t find it anywhere 😕.

Star Trek Voyager. I hated the show but for some reason I just had to see it, there was a small part of me who thought it will get better, just like TNG or DS9 - both of them started very weak but got better, but then it suddenly stopped.

Star Wars Rebels. The first season was OK, nothing special but enjoyable. Unfortunately I have also watched season 2, not sure why, there were maybe 2 episodes I liked. I don’t even like the opening 2-parter and the closing 2-parter which most of the people claim are good. And the sad thing is that I’ll probably even watch season 3 😦

Game of Thrones. The last season I truly liked was the first one. I don’t even know if I should start watching season 6, all the characters I liked are dead.

Guilty again… Add Voyager and Enterprise to my list. Enterprise did improve a bit towards the end, but it was too little, too late. I kind of enjoyed Voyager and hated it at the same time. I liked that it had the same Star Trek “feel” as TNG and DS9, but hated that it was usually terrible. I have actually watched every episode twice.

Bob’s Burgers: This is so meh, don’t know why I watch it. I really like H. Jon Benjamin and Kristen Schaal, but I think I’m out…

Do I win this thread yet or was it a no-contest from the beginning? I was hoping someone would make me feel better by admitting that their significant other makes them watch all kinds of horrifying reality TV…

I couldn’t make it past the first episode of the US Office. Not that I was a fan of the UK series either. I have never found Steve Carell to be funny at all.

I think I watched almost every episode of Enterprise, even though I truly despise it’s existence (my family watched the series).

Voyager I’ve never really cared for, but I don’t hate it (I just don’t watch it). I couldn’t get through the series, because most of the episodes I’ve seen have terrible plots, and none of the characters are really interesting to me except the Doctor. The only episode I like is "Real Life".

The macro-virus episode doesn’t help me appreciate the series either…

Same.

The Walking Dead- Season 2 Episode 3

I stopped watching for a while, but the show did get much better after Season 3. Sadly I think it’s faltering again. I haven’t seen the last few episodes.
