Star Wars - The Interactive Board Game DVD

Star Wars: The Interactive Video Game Board was a board game created by Hasbro in 1996. It is notable for
including a VHS tape of newly shot scenes of Darth Vader walking down the halls of the Death Star.
For the new scenes, Hasbro brought back David Prowse to play Vader and James Earl Jones to do the voice of
Vader. Some of the crew from A New Hope, including original director of photography Gilbert Taylor,
returned as well to shoot the scenes.

Included here is the entire VHS broken down into 41 chapters to coincide with Vader’s appearances.

Also included is a stills gallery containing photos of the box and contents as well as scans of the instructions.

I know this is a really petty thing to moan about but this has been up for about 10 minutes and someone's already downloading. Fair enough you might think. But please just drop a comment in the thread. Some of us like to be appreciated y'know (yes, I have issues)

Great to see the project is finished, daveytod! I have both the game and the VHS tape (bought it years ago), but I was unable to attempt any video capturing due to the fact that it has been buried in storage for over five years now. I can't wait to see how it looks, especially since I never had the time to play the game properly.

Looking forward to seeing this again, I have no idea where my copy of the game is now.

I used to be very active on this forum. I’m not really anymore. Sometimes, people still want to get in touch with me about something, and that is great! If that describes you, please email me at [my username]ATgmailDOTcom.

Hi everybody. You’re all awesome. Keep up the good work.

simply for reference...is this PAL or NTSC?

I know your other work has been PAL...but I figured I'd give it a shot.

daveytod,

Great job. I'm glad to see someone finally tackled this.

Was the VHS source PAL or NTSC?

Question:

Not to offend or anything but why is the file so small for an hour of video?

torrent is PAL
(don't know about the source tape)

However, in practice you must take into account the “fuckwit factor”. Just talk to Darth Mallwalker…

You may have uploaded 1.27gb but the file is 1.81gb, everyone is stuck at 65.5%, your not be able to leave your PC on 24 hours a day, but the rest of us do have to! Why you ask? Because we don't have a clue when you are online and seeding, if we knew that then we would be able to turn our PC's off and save money also because like you we also have electric bills to pay, so yes we want blood!

Personally, I am kinda grateful for anything new that comes our way and will do whatever I have to do to get hold of the things.

It is either that or get off my fat arse, buy the laserdisc/tape etc, the appropriate player, a Macrovision disabler, capture card and all the appropriate software. Having spent big bucks, I would then spend months working out how to use all the above up to the point that I could produce professional products such as our extremely talented Welsh friend here has done on more than one occasion.

So, I look forward to the next (first!) release of anyone who is not happy here and if that is not forthcoming, I suggest that you follow my example above and be grateful..........

Not having someone seeding can be a wee bit of a nuisance but we all know that it is worth the wait.

I totally agree with you, but if someone is perpared to spend countless hours on a computer, clocking up the electric bill, making these titles for others to enjoy, you would think that that a few more hours to upload it until other can start seeding so he can stop (which I would be prepared to do), they would do so, the longer it takes to upload the long is spent counting the pennys for the bills.

I'm grateful to daveytod for making this title and to others that make other titles, you all have talent that I don't, I can only appreciate the finished product, if I have upset daveytod, for the things I have said then I apologise, its just a little frustrating when you can only spend certain hours uploading, and you complain about paying the bills, we have to spend longer downloading wasting more money waiting around until you can upload, which like I said we have no knowledge of when that will be.

I don't want this to degenrate into pointess bickering darksaber, but lets be fair, if you're downloading my films then cool, thank you very much. But if I'm not online, which is only weekdays BTW, I'm online all week nights throughout the night and all weekend, then there's plenty of other great SW titles out there to be downloading while you're waiting
