And it took them two years to figure this out? People who suck at their jobs usually don’t last that long, unless they’re polticians. 😉
Trevorrow was a very promising director after his debut and JW. Yes, it’s very possible it took two years to find out. Screenwriting is a long and complicated process, and it could definitely take awhile to realize someone just doesn’t have the chops to take the material where it needed to be. In fairness to Trevorrow, this is probably the hardest writing task of the trilogy for a variety of reasons.
And it took them two years to figure this out?
They apparently shot an entire movie before realizing the Solo directors weren’t very good.
I wonder if doing that and the relative non-caring by the media made Kennedy more comfortable with getting rid of Trevorrow.
Weird because the Solo firings are worse in pretty much every way imaginable. I’d very much like to find out what really happened there at some point in the future.
For now, ultimately the quality of the films will determine if Kennedy made the right decisions.
