Yes. Interesting take, but I think the whole point is Luke’s face is supposed to be in darkness.

But it look stupid when the sabre comes on doesn’t make any sense from not being any light from that close up to it face
I’m fine with accepting that Luke’s face remaining in shadow is a stylistic choice rather than a practical one.
You probably don’t recognize me because of the red arm.
Episode 9 Rewrite, The Starlight Project (Released!) and ANH Technicolor Project (Released!)
Lightsabers never cast light onto anything else at any other point the OT, there’s no reason to think it should in this scene either.
Plus it looks…really bad. Sorry.

Maybe your right, I just assumed they didn’t think ahead

No need to apologise, that why I’m asking. Thanks

the cleanup looks fine.the colours and the sharpness must be a bit tweaked.
why you create a new R2?

why you create a new R2?
I created him for the simple reason of the light reflecting, over all I know its way beyond perfect, but bringing R2 back, I mean the original isn’t difficult at all
This is looking great. I’d agree you should tweak the colors a little to fit in with the rest of the film, but it’s already looking far better than than any other version of the footage I’ve seen. Awesome job on the restoration.
I’m little curious how progress is going on the Tosche station scenes. Is the restoration work finished, or is this something you’re working on alongside them?
Got the YOutube Link working after I disputed it
Return of the Jedi (Deleted Scene Restored)
Nicely done! Already much improved over the (intentional?) shoddy quality as presented on Blu-ray.

I doubt it was intentional. They just didn’t want to put much restoration work into a 30 year old deleted scene that didn’t make the final cut, and I doubt they want to today.

The light needs to react to everything else on him, not just his face, which doesn’t make any more sense than his face being hidden in the shadow. Also it would probably work better to find a photo of Mark Hamill and use that instead of a CGI head.
Good work would be great to see the scenes just cleaned up…
Even though the scenes themselves are the main focus I have a feeling the Vader deleted scene on the death star goes inbetween C3P0 entering the Lars Homestead and then emerging from the bath tub.
The fact that it blacks out is a bit telling.
As for Audio, the audio spoken by Vader used in the holiday special is actually meant to be for the scene aboard the tantive and the line spoken by Vader in the film aboard the tantive is for the deleted scene… It was swapped because the scene was cut.
Hope that helps 😃
Swap = “well done commander there will be no one to stop us this time”

Have you even watched the deleted scene? It’s clearly meant to be placed long after Luke meets Ben, when the’re at Mos Eisley. The clue is in the very first line spoken; “We’ve closed the spaceport at Mos Eisley and started a search operation”. And the dialogue for Vader can also be heard spoken by Dave Prowse. None of it corresponds to anything said aboard the Tantive IV. And the Dialogue for that scene that Vader speaks in the Holiday special was specifically recorded for that special. long after the film came out. It was recorded at the same time JEJ recorded his dialogue for the cartoon section.
EDIT: According to the novel the deleted scene with Vader & Tagge takes place right between the Han & Jabba scene & Luke & co reaching docking bay 94.

…and I think it stayed there in the original edit (rough cut). If you’ve never seen this YouTube doc, I highly recommend it. The Chief Bast scene is discussed around the 8:00 mark.
Have you even watched the deleted scene ?
Of course no…
Sometimes I doubt if Ronster has even seen the movie.
