I don't really mind people selling it ... I wish they'd use an approved cover for it, though. That cover is interesting though, a nice variation on Coov's first, so I mentioned it. To disapprove of anything else would be kind of hypocrisy .... it doesn't make me happy, but does show that these and other fan edits have made inroads into the world. I know that whoever sells it, people are watching my actual DVD, unaltered.

Those fuckers who reedited the thing poorly and plopped it up on the web at grinvi.com, though ... they can fry.

Well I get to meet Peter Mayhew this coming weekend at the local Comic & entertainment Expo and induct him into our local fanforce as an honary member. I was thinking of also passing along a copy of Deleted Magic as almost all in my local fanforce has seen it. Does anybody know if he has already been given a copy. I hear hes a purist and loves only the stuff GL has done. No expanded universe stuff and such. I think he might get a kick out of seeing some of the cut footage that he might have forgot about.

Peter Mayhew does have a copy of the disc. I don't know if he watched it or cared, he didn't seem that interested. You could ask him about it.



Jamie - I mention your project constantly, and send out copies to friends. Apart from being great, it also gets people off my back about doing a Deleted Magic Empire. =)

I was wondering did he ever hear from anyone from Lucas's camp?? I cant imagine George getting mad for this? I just loved the dvd...

Is there any info ever of George being asked in a interview of seeing any of these great fan docs?

Ho ho ho... look what I spotted here.

Take a good look at the disc that's on the desk to Carrie Fisher's left. What disc might that be? Why, 'tis none other than Deleted Magic... and it looks like an official ocpmovie copy, too.

Methinks Garrett's been at work here. Think she'll watch it?

OCP, I'm half way through your doco on youtube, and I have to say, I am impressed.

Ashamedly, I haven't seen any of the Luke and Biggs scenes before and its really cool to finally get a chance to watch them.

You've put a lot of work into this project and I thank you! Well done!

Since watching RtJ I had a thought. Who here (if anyone) is still seeding this on myspleen? I'm just wondering since with the success and word of mouth on Jedi, and the buildup for Empire, we should get DM out to the masses more on demonoid, piratebay, etc, if anyone is willing to spread it about. If one of the seeders over at the spleen is a member here, would you be able to cross-torrent it? Or if anything I'll even redownload it, and perhaps take out the extra items (rough scrpits and movie clips) and replace them with the covers and torrent it (once I figure how).

Interesting picture. IIRC, OCPMovie said he gave a copy of Deleted Magic to Peter Mayhew at a convention or something like that. So at least two cast members have copies of it, assuming they didn't just toss them.

I just followed an external link to 'Deleted Magic' on youtube and it says:

"This video has been removed due to terms of use violation".

Because of this and a couple of other factors, I have decided to delete 'BE' and 'RTJ' off youtube.
