I see what you did there.
There have been some great typos in this here thred lately.
I didn't know the makeup artists used so much rouge in the movie! ;)

But seriously, I'm not sure from where, but he just found a part where Luke says "3" and put it in there.WhatsMyName said:
i've always wondered how you got to replace the lines. For example, when Rouge 3 was also Rouge 2. How did you manage to change that to "Steady Rouge 3"?

Maybe it's Joker from the animated Batman ;-)

'Rouge' for 'rogue' is a pretty common one, especially when speaking of Star Wars pilots, but three times in one post was awesome! ;)
Seriously, though, I also noted how seemless the change from 'two' to 'three' was. Another nice, subtle change from Ady.
There we go, that makes sense.Xazi2003 said:

Adywan, you may recall that I mentioned some print damage (a few brief, but distracting white artifacts that pop in and out) that appears around the time where Luke approaches Leia in the medical area -

...well if you *are* able to erase them, it would be good if you could also get rid of some others that also appear during this effects shot below, when the Falcon turns it's lights on as it enters the asteroid cave -
(note: this is just the original shot I've shown, and not Adywan's nicely enhanced version)
I don't see anything?

If you look closely, there are these vertical lines in dark areas

They are there nonetheless. I'm sure Adywan will spot them if he looks.

Not sure what you're referring to here Harmy, but I'm meaning several white 'speckles' that pop up during that shot, that's still evident on the 'workprint' I got a while back.
I noticed that, but dismissed it as being the problem aforementioned, thanks for the info!

fishmanlee, you posted while I was adding to my post. And I've just realised that the 'vertical lines' mentioned are probably just the black ones seen on that particular poor quality screenshot I posted, as they certainly aren't on the actual footage. But the white 'speckles' are.
I don't know if this has been mentioned yet (if it has it's probably been by me) but the rouged Wedge jogged my memory.
When Wedge says."One more pass" in the Hoth battle it doesn't sound much like Denis Lawson to these ears, to be honest when I could only listen to The Story Of ESB record to refresh my memory of the film (until it came out on video) I was so convinced that Carrie Fisher delivered the line that I imagined Leia was saying it from the base control centre while monitoring the battle.
Anyone else hear what I mean?
Not even slightly. :p
Bingowings, I know exactly what you mean. It always sounded to me like it was Leia saying that line. It really does seem quite odd and has always bothered me.
You're both off your space rockers. Heh.
Nice to know I'm not alone (even if Ripplin isn't convinced).
I wish I had the sound file to hand because I swear the line just doesn't sound like him.

He was dubbed, maybe they used someone else for that line? It's not Leia though. ;-)

But it's the exact same voice! He's just speaking under his breath. =P
^Exactly! I never in a million years would've thought otherwise. :p
^Ditto.

It's astonishing to me how people hear things differently.
Honestly to my ears it sounds like a feminine voice (at least making a stab at) speaking in an American accent.
Why would Lawson deliberately do that for one line?
We know that for ROTJ they dubbed an actress with a male voice, it's possible that Lawson wasn't available to re-do that one line.
Seeing as it's a minority thing it's probably time to drop the topic here but I thought I'd bring it up as it may have been of interest.
Now I hear Carrie Fisher... And Ill hear her there for ever...
