It would be interseting to see the Ion cannon moving in some way as to target its shot slightly as no target is stationary.
Ahough, after our suggestions, i would not be surprised if Adys already done with the sequence totally now hes uprated the FX to focus on other things.

When controller lady is about to say "fire" some guys behind her to the right turn and walk over to something that could be a window, they are trying to look down and out.
So yes, a control room window would be awesome :D
Have you seen the guy in the back with the stopwatch then? pointing at the controller lady as an indicator telling her when to fire :p yes I am a nerd ^_^

The point has been made and emphasised about the window. Just to keep you happy the window was always supposed to be there from the concept stage of film on McQuarries designs:
Speaking of which, and maybe impossible to do, some of the backgrounds that were originally intended for Degobah look twenty times as creepy as the final film set:
Mutant trees and sort of an Alien queens hive enviroment (complete with mutant spider). Spooky!
Here is a cut out of the cannon and fire control....it's not cannon but it can give us some pointers. :)

I like the illustrations in the Cross Sections books but some of them are so inaccurate. I was really looking forward to the Cloud City one but it was very disappointing. I don't buy their explanation of where the giant shaft is at all.

I dont know about creepy trees but some new BGs as well (ady stated he will not change it)

I like that a lot Angel, it opens it up really nicely without losing the dense feeling of the surrounding jungle and swamps. Why did Ady say he won't do it? It's very effective, and very subtle.
