While the first SS shadow shot needs to be lower on the ground and flatter to match the AT-ATs shadow, the scene at 0:32 doesn't have a shadow for the SS at all! On 0:35 -0:36, should there be a SS shadow on the AT-AT legs? Also could use a mountainous background (and maybe a squad of SSs flying in the rear) for 0:50.

I noticed a dialogue error while watching the first clip. Luke first calls Wedge 'Rogue 3'. Then a few seconds later he calls Wedge 'Rogue 2'. Later Luke calls Zev 'Rogue 2'. Obviously this has to been fixed but who is Rogue 2 and who is Rogue 3?
Also, great job on the Asteroid Field, Ady. I can't wait to see how else you manage to surprise us.

Wedge is Rogue 2, Zev is Rogue 3 - I believe he identified himself as such when he found Luke and Han in the snow...

-Yoda is looking really good! I didn't think it was gonna be nessicary to adjust the performance...but it works wonderfully!

I know this is your intent but I thought I should say that you are indeed enhancing SFX shots and performances from ESB. Like I said above...I didn't think it was nessicary with yoda...nor did I think so with the asteroids...but you have proved me wrong! :)

Hey, Adywan,
Let me just echo what SomethingStarWarsRelated said. Your Yoda changes: AWESOME. Very subtle, but effective. I honestly didn't think you'd be able to improve on the puppet, but you did. The only thing that I see that could possibly be improved upon is his eyes. Sometimes, when he turns away from Luke, his eyes seem to stare off in the distance. Seems like those times would be good for a squint or blink.
The new asteroid field looks nice too, but it's so small on my screen, I feel like I'm missing something. Any chance you have a non-comparison version of the clip just sitting on your hard drive waiting to be uploaded?

Ady, I don't know if this was previously acknowledged, but I noticed that when Luke flies out the window during his fight with Vader, his lightsaber seems to disappear, but he has it again later. Will this be fixed somehow?

here's 2 versions to choose from:
ASTEROID SCENE EXTENDED COMPARISON
They're only slightly longer than the one posted recently but these are the shots as they will appear in ESB:R. A certain debate that raged on for a while can now be put to rest. It's over. I have made my decision. lol

It doesn't need to be fixed. Luke loses the lightsaber as he falls out of the window. when he is hanging on the ledge you can see the lightsaber is lying there on the platform.

The rock that collides with the asteroid is now larger.
The TIE's explosion is larger.

I ve notice some transparecy issues in the tie fighter chase at the very beginning( to hard to spot) in both versions.I dont really care about them, just mention them.

Wow, Adywan. Just saw your latest clips of the Asteroid Field. Absolutely amazing work. The asteroid field really looks dangerous now. Love how the Ties are firing now, and they look fantastic in grey.
Ladyferry, regarding the pilot flying out, it looks like that was also there in the 2004 version if you watch the comparison clip.
I really didn't know you were already so deep into the effects work, Adywan. I can't wait to see what's next.

The TIE pilot always flew out of the cockpit, I noticed that before the SE came out when I was a kid and thought it was hilarious.
And Ady, let me just say that was AMAZINGLY FANTASTIC! And I think all the "blue TIE" complaints can be put to rest now that we've seen how the grey ones actually look like they belong, unlike the blue ones.
I did notice a couple matte lines here and there, but nothing major.

One thing about the asteroid field scene, is there a way we can see the shadows of more of the asteroids pass over the cockpit? We only see the shadows of one or two of them pass over the actors, with all those asteroids it seems we would see more shadows pass.

WOW. The TIEs look great...and firing?! Double wow!
Watching these comparison clips makes me wish someone would do a splitscreen of the whole movies; Ady's on one half, 2004 on the other half. Wouldn't sync perfectly, but that's ok, and people here are good at figuring out what to do with extra/less time.
