I think we’re all pretty fortunate this entire board wasn’t moved to newsgroups a long time ago

The Wampa looks amazing, Adywan. My apologies if this has already been covered, but do we know specifically which shots will be replaced with the new Wampa? Will the growling closeup of the Wampa be replaced with this one? Because Ady’s version looks to be based pretty closely on that one. Or will only the full body shots of the very different looking Wampas be replaced with this one? In which case, how will it be filmed, exactly? Will it be superimposed on the full body shots, or will it be filmed in snowy backgrounds with a full fur suit?
Again, sorry if this has already been discussed.
The wampa looks like an ogre. I dunno.

It’s pretty close to the original puppet. It just lacks the yellowing on the teeth, the horns and the hair.
With that much props and models rebuilt (and knowledge about light, camera angles, etc.) I believe Ady can make a TESB “sidequel”.

All SE shots gone but the arm added to one shot, all the original shots replaced with this mask/puppet.

Laptop is in hand, the hanger is being assembled.
Also, RotJ is going to be started immediately, and at top priority. The PT will all be worked at the same time, but after Jedi and ANHRHD are done. This should please a lot of you.

Thanks for the update. I’ll definitely be looking forward to reading the larger (or complete) list of RoTJ planned changes once it’s available. We’ve had some very nice edits here, but it seems like a difficult film to make judgement calls on, compared to the other two in the trilogy. Seems easy to go overboard trying to remove some of the awkward humor, ending up with something a bit more stale and lacking some of the charm. It’s just a different beast than ANH and ESB, and I’m not sure that it can be made into the same type of film as those two. But I’ll be curious to see how Ady tackles it.
Everything in that update is great!
(although I’d have liked adywan to have been able to relax for a while after this current edit)
I mean, yeah being able to relax is great, but, this isn’t Ady’s job remember. This is his hobby. He’s under nobody’s schedule but he’s own. I would hope that he still enjoys working on it.
adywan if your ever short of funds you can do what you did for the keyboard for filming. if low funds keeps you from your vision.
A lot has changed since Star Wars Revisited was released 10 years ago. What is the plan for distribution?
A lot has changed since Star Wars Revisited was released 10 years ago. What is the plan for distribution?
It will be an 8gb(approx) 720p mkv file at first, most probably available through usenet and direct download links. Torrents will most likely crop up not long after. The 25GB bluray and DVD will follow later in the year once i have completed the special features, which i haven’t started yet because i have been concentrating on getting the edit out of the way first

why 25gb why not the full 50gb.

Because dual-layer discs are more expensive and not as readily available/accessible to most people. Also at 720p it’s not likely to make much of a difference in picture quality.
Ady, are you not going to do a news group release for this like you did the ANH:R DVD?

but isn’t the quality going to suffer for it.

If you mean special features, by seeing how you did revisited then that would be nothing short of incredible.

No. Not even a little bit.

no compression then great
No compression know peace.
Hopefully some kind of PIF system for those of us who can’t burn BDs. My computers can’t even play HD videos, though my phone and TV can…

All commercial 50 gb blu-ray’s are compressed video files.
When will suggestions for Return of the Jedi: Revisited be open?
