That's just the blanket color pass making other things look different. There would be a lot more attention to smaller details if this was a final pass.
Wow! I'm ming boggled by that screen comparison of Obi Wan on Geonosis. I can't believe how better and more natural it looks with just a color correction!
For the first time.. I'm actually midly optimistic about the PT:Revisited.
Geonosis. The one thing that bugged me the most out of all that sequence was, and still is Natalie Portman jumping/landing crotch first on the back of the Reek(?) beast thing. I mean, NOT ONE PERSON had the balls to tell GL jusy how stupid that looked? Come on! Ady, if you are keeping that in AOTC:R, please do something about that landing. Please!

Yeah, that was such an awful looking moment. However, there's a proposal I've got in mind which I reckon can easily improve that particular scene, but I'll keep it for the official AOTC:Revisited thread Marty. :)
Each prequel has so many possible ways to alter numerous moments for the better, so it's gonna be real interesting to see adywan's own final preferences when the time comes.
Loving the initial colour-correction example of that Geonosis scene, by the way.

I feel pretty sure that a lot of AOTC's problems will get fixed, but first he'll color-correct the whole thing
Oh I get it's just a little exercise for Ady to begin visualizing what needs to be done to the prequels, starting with CC. I just needed to mention the crotch landing thing. I know all this is off topic but since Ady himself brought it up in here, I guess we're ok. ;)
Look forward to this sort of thing a lot in the future. This is the reason why Ady is going to be working on the rest of the movies all at once, so that when he hits a wall on how to do something or is waiting on another thing to dry he can poke in another one of the movies.

Will there be 4 separate threads created soon to follow the progress on the other movies? Or will there be 1 giant "Revisited Project" thread to track whatever is currently going on in the Adywan productions universe?

Ady, I applaud your tenacity. Nothing has made me scream "f*** these movies" near as much as color correcting Genosis. It's frightening how bad the CGI is, and making the colors more natural only brings it out even more. If I know you, a lot of that shit will be replaced, but still. It's sad that the prequels will take more work than the classic movies. Shouldn't the prequels look better?

I don't think "great" quite does it justice. It looks FANTASTIC! I was actually a shocked when I saw it--I actually sat back in my chair and gasped--because I never thought the prequels could look so good. Well done!

the other issue i have with the color correction besides that now the picture is darker. is that now the planet looks too much like tatoonie.

Thanks! I used Photoshop for the image, but I'd use the same tools in Premiere Pro: RGB Curves and Channel Mixer.
