is there any way the rancor could be made to fart when it has hold of luke in its little den? and then luke could get a sniff of it and the rancor could say something like "my tits have been digitally enhanced. they may not look much to you, as i grasp you here in my massive hand, but when you see this on BR, they'll be really really awesome and that." there could then be some music from the sound of music (i'm thinking curtain/play clothes song, only backwards) and this could get louder and louder for the next 55 minutes. oh - while i remember - the rancor keeper - get rid of him and replace him with a mist. or tits. or both. or neither. but tits.

I am sorry if that question has been answered before. Is it possible to add a snow burst each time a walker has a step? I remember adywan added something similar when the laser blasters from TIE fighters were hitting the rock surface of the asteroid. The way the stop motion snow looks, it resembles more like a mud rather have a crushing force from the leg exploding snow.
It could be done, I just don't know how to do it without it looking fake. Ady's probably already done it, and just kept it secret.

I think the snow reacts relatively realistically. It looked like a relatively bright day during the battle, the sun probably would have made the snow dense and heavy, and it acts exactly like that underneath the slow moving feet. When the walker falls though, it does create a burst in the snow, because there is more force.
I believe i saw somewhere that someone suggested giving all the characters frost breath during the Hoth scenes to give it a realistic "in a cold place" feel. Do you think Addy will add that?
I believe he said he's going to add songs by Frost* to the battle.

I believe that it was Ady himself who was flirting with the idea of adding it in. Not sure what his decision ended up being.

Well, he did have a video test with it using the method explained by VideoCopilot. And if I recall correctly, ultimately he said the work wasn't worth it, especially since it didn't look realistic enough for him.

I remember seeing that clip of Han and Lea talking where Ady was experimenting and added "breaths". I thought it looked pretty good, almost perfect.
No doubt it would require a whole lot of work adding this subtle detail to almost all of the Hoth scenes (much more than if he decides to add some extra bug-life on Dagobah, in only a few outdoor scenes), but if it could be done convincingly (key word), it would certainly go a long way in adding realism to these locations (making them less like sets). It is up to Ady if it's worth it :)
