This. He’s what, in his eighties? Vader is inevitably going to show up in something. I’d rather they get some Vader in while Jones is still around than hold off in the name of originality and recast.

I thought you might have been joking but one of the potential endings I have for the film (regarding smaller things) was Vader only appearing at the end to kill the other Villain. In that case he wouldn’t need to speak and it might be more impactful if he didn’t.
Well, Krennic is definitely talking to Vader at some point in the trailer (see second picture) and it would be weird if he didn’t talk back.
Also, judging by the three shots with Vader in them it does seem like he’ll appear in at least two different scenes, perhaps even three (although the last two pictures could easily be from the same scene/set.)
I’m guessing this is a statue of a Jedi on Jedha, which makes sense.
Here’s some ruins on Jedha as the DS fires on it (as we saw in the previous trailer), and I’m assuming that these are also Jedi related.

Not bad. Still hope it can be a decent movie, not good but better than TFA is easy. Rebellion parts seem very lame (awful dialogues, Jones way too beautiful, Forrest as terrible as ever) but the imperial officer guy with the Tarkin face is stealing the show. Vader ? Hum… his presence seems pointless and fan-service, but at least he looks good enough. I would have prefered a Vader-less movie. I’m really looking forwards for new ideas in this saga (Rebels, TFA, Rogue One, Han Solo movie: ok Disney you more or less know how to recycle things, but can you come up with something NEW ?).
