I'm just over 70% from a torrent at Demonoid. Really looking forward to seeing the final product--I'm sure it's fantastic.

You can find that clip on YouTube by searching for "Rescuing Star Wars". I didn't include it in the Puggo Grande, because my next project will be a restoration of all of the movie viewer reels. There was a brief thread about this here on the forum you could search for. I'll be posting more details on this within the next month or so. For those of you who remember that thread -- I have finally decided on a name for it!I also have almost completed a 16mm transfer of the special edition trailer, which will be one of the extras on that next project. I know, nothing new there, but it looks kinda cool in 16mm.
WOW!! I can't wait for the next project. Grande and Super8 are some of my favorites. :)
Yeah, Rescuing Star Wars will be really fun to see. I love the "preview" video about it.

Er, the YouTube video IS "Rescuing Star Wars". It's not a preview, it's a low-res bit of satire. I will probably put a higher-res version of the same thing as an extra in the next project, but "Rescuing Star Wars" is done (no special editions!).
The next project will be DVD quality telecines of ALL the movie viewer reels (including the one in Rescuing Star Wars). So there will be lots more grunge, scratches, and film dirt to enjoy! Not to mention the long-awaited missed grappling hook, etc. :) :)

Oops! Sorry. I stand corrected...and anticipating. :)
Hey Puggo, I just wanted to thank you for mentioning me in the special features, I was freakin out! And great job with the transfer btw, the contrast and color look great, shame about it being cut off though.
"Rescuing Star Wars"! I couldn't remember that title. Thanks for clearing that up for me. Definitely looking forward to your next project already!
I finished downloading from the Demonoid torrent and watched this today. The black level is very grey and the sound is quite scratchy, but I still really enjoyed watching this. The 'film look' comes through clearly. Thanks for the great work, Puggo!

Fantastic cover! I think it could use some more on the back, but that would take away from the picture of the box - so I'm personally conflicted. Another masterpiece from Feta!

Very nice cover! :)
Oh, and Megaupload is a better option if you want it to stick around for a while.
Superb work on the cover, boba feta! :)
Where were you in '77?
After seeing the cover it just hit me - the movie is in NTSC, right? D'oh! Any PAL versions out there?
And in the time of greatest despair, there shall come a savior, and he shall be known as the Son of the Suns.
great cover Boba!!!

if you upload to the plain free account yes, BUT you can upload to a RS collector's account (also free) and it lasts for a long time just like the premium accounts.

From my experience with the prequel cutlists (shamless plug - http://originaltrilogy.com/forum/topic.cfm/TVFs-Prequel-Cutlist-Project/topic/10770/) a free RS collector's account item will last 2-3 months, and more than 10 downloads are allowed.

I live in PAL land and have no problems at all with playing any NTSC DVD. The fact is I prefer them as you do not get that annoying PAL speed up!!!!

Well, deletion from inactivity can occur with collectors accounts. If people keep downloading the file it will stay on the free collectors account continually. There is no deletion from inactivity on premium accounts

Oops - you are absolutely correct and I should have mentioned that. Every time someone downloads the file, it resets the clock. And...while I should have said "shameless" plug above, "shamless" plug is also correct. No sham here LOL.

Hey,
first I'd like to say thanks for this. Very cool.
Now, I haven't had a chance to watch the entire thing, I was just jumping around it when I noticed the scene when Alderaan gets blown up, as they show the planet, the Death Star "window" sides are missing. I searched this thread for such differences but found nothing. Are there any more differences throughout the film? Anyone notice anything else?
That could be due to the cropped frame. It may not have been a deliberate change.
