Hello there!
15 years ago almost to the date, I was inspired by Star Wars to dive into the amazing world of visual effects. Today, I’m a VFX artist working in the field for almost 8 years, and was honored this very year to work on one of the upcoming SW series.
Like most of us, I was looking forward to the Kenobi series, and frankly I enjoyed it very much. But there are some things I wish were improved a little bit more, both in the storyline and in the visuals themselves.
Just for fun and some crazy dedication, I decided to do my own take on it. It’s no secret this series works way better in the theatrical version, because it was envisioned that way in the first place. So, I’m going to do just that, with some original musical themes, newly created visions/flashbacks, and of course- new visual effects.
Before I started my career in the VFX I was formally trained as a film editor, so this little side project sounds like a perfect combination for me.
One of the things I would like to see is to bridge the visual gap between the Prequels, Rebels and the OT.
I will give a new look to the Grand Inquisitor and bring it closer to the look of Pau’an species shown in ROTS. Also the Fifth Brother will look much closer to his Rebels version.
There will be a LOT of changes, but most importantly, they will have a place in the story and will take a supportive role.

The new final duel planet has to be my favorite change, makes it feel much more Star Wars in my opinion. The cool part is, I might’ve had a small part in that idea, because I did suggest to him the idea of having a blue lava planet.
I’ve been following his work for a few months now. Very exciting stuff!
By far my favorite change I’ve seen so far was him putting Qui-Gon’s crystal in Kenobi’s saber chest. I can finally have my fandom explanation that Luke is using Qui-Gon’s lightsaber crystal in episode 6.
I’ve been really curious about this edit and its potential story changes.

This looks absolutely amazing. I was going to attempt my own Kenobi edit after finishing Mando 4, but it looks like I needn’t bother. Love the look of the inquisitors.

Oooooh that is a sweet change.
I had an idea for an added scene in ROTJ where Luke is flying his XWing near Yavin and he reaches out with the Force to pull a crystal from the Death Star wreckage. That’s why it’s green. In my view Jedi have blue swords, Sith red but Luke is new. Green like springtime. But it is born out of tragedy. That’s enough poetry from me today. 😁
While I have also had the Qui-Gon crystal as my head canon for a long time, there was a brief period of time where I was storyboarding a way to actually film this scene you imagined, Bingowings. You’ve described it before and I was pretty inspired by it.
You could use existing shots of Luke’s X-Wing from the OT, and you would just need some new Death Star wreckage elements, some green crystal shards, and a little R2 arm to film and add to some shots. I thought Luke returning to the wreckage would be a cool scene to have near the start of ROTJ and parallel the end of ANH. At this point I think I was trying to reconfigure the plot of ROTJ to be a reverse mirror of ANH.
Anyway, looking forward to seeing this edit released!

Amazing Job! Inquisitors design is amazing. I found the official version a little cheap, like a cosplay.
The teaser was too cool a new hope luke with yellow sith eyes. never in my life have needed something so much and never known until I received it.
