You have no room in your house for a ROBE?!  BTW, the sparkles comment made me laugh (thx for that, rcb)...

for some reason, that reminded me of this (yes, it's clickable.. though if you try to scratch and sniff, I am not responsible for the outcome):

I proposed earlier to show a shot that the SDs are stepping away and Executor unleashes a massive amount of firepower(hundreds lasers) that makes his presence with a more strong way.

A better excuse to shot him down since it stands there and look the battle from distance. We need more money shots in ROTJ.

Hi guys, I made this observation:

this shot makes the Blockade Runner look like it's about the size of the Falcon…

maybe they got the blockade runner on the wrong layer or something…

A simple fix would be to make it passes behind the med frigate:

srry, to go off that topic. but, i was wondering if we could take that scene, replace the frigate with a corvette or cruiser and have them firing at each other kinda like in ROTS with the republic cruiser and grevious's ship?

gosh look at all the ships in the background of that ROTS shot and there's like only a few in ROTJ. and why did the Rebellion send those cargo ships to the battle?

Cargo ships could have been kamikazis (or still loaded with weapons) - besides, the rebels can't be picky when it comes to ships.

Speaking of which, the rebels need a LOT more ships in order to survive:

(1) potential Executor volley
(2) massive amounts of TIEs and SDs pummelling them
(3) DS2 raking super laser through multiple ships.

I would almost decrease the number of Imperial SDs (being that if this is still a trap, you can't exactly hide a few hundred mile long space ships) while increasing the number of rebel ships.  I think someone else suggested showing 2 more rebel fleets jumping in from hyperspace as if to rendevous with the first fleet (where our heroes are) to show that the rebels are coming from different parts of the galaxy to converge at one point.  I know they mention meeting at Sullust, but again, you can't keep a secret with hundreds of mile long space ships just floating around.

I would also add a lot more rebel fighters, of which a lot get blown up from more accurate TIE fighters -as in, show the Imperial force as an actual trained force that stands a chance of defeating the rebels.  Always showing TIEs getting blown up by the Falcon or other rebels again tears down any credibility they have as an actual threat.

Depends on how big the death star or endor is plus it depends on if the SD's were already there
or not they could have just come out of hyperspace

of course but thats it the empire doesnt really care as evidenced by: Vader: what about the news of the rebels gathering near sullust?    Emporer: it is of no concern.

Yeah, look how simple and boring the space battle looks. That's something that I hope adywan improves in his ROTJ R edit. This is the last battle in the saga, I think it should be a little longer and more epic. It could really change the whole feel of the movie and the trilogy.

Because George already had them built and could recycl-I mean, re-use in an entirely new way, things that had already been built, thus saving $.

Something like this would be great but very time consuming (I can't imagine many of the original elements of what was in it's day a ground breaking set of special effects sequences surviving a reworking of this magnitude).

It would also add to the impression of a major clash between two fleets if we saw more fighting way off in the distance.

The ROTJ battle frequently has something epic in the foreground to cover up that there isn't much going on in the background (other than a lot of cut and paste duplicated ships barely moving about).

I think adding 100's of ties in the battle will make it more epic. I would like to see 5 ties tailing every x-wing/y-wing. The Falcon needs to be covered in them. It will make the battle more of an edge of the seat battle. You should be given the impression that it is an un-winnable battle.

Adding some unexpected things to the battle would be cool too.

Add more depth to the battle. Have Admiral Ackbar bump one of the larger ships with his Mon Calamari ship.

Or add to it. Have Admiral Ackbar bump a Star Destroyer causing it to bump into another Star Destroyer.

The Rebels should be more barbaric. The Imperials seem to be into this code they made for war-fare. Making the rebels uninterested in the Imperials Gentlemanly/Sportsmanlike war-fare.

I can't see either side being gentlemanly about this battle.

The Imperials want to wipe the Rebels out once and for all and the Rebels are fighting for their lives.

Adding something like the alternate fate of Piett and the Executor would give the Imperials a bit of nobility and perhaps if some of the Rebel ships supported it we could see the beginning of an era of uneasy Galactic peace during this key battle.

It would take an event like the Emperor firing into his own fleet to insure he gets the Rebels to wake everyone up to who the real enemy was before it was too late.

I think Ady will do something special for this battle. Remember that technology will be 2 years better than it is today. So he could pull this off easier and better than he could right now. That's really the only reason I'm glad he is doing the saga 4-5-6-1-2-3. Meaning TPM needs alot of work just visually.

If he just colour corrects it, removes Jar Jars antics, and axes the midichlorions, I will be happy. I think visually it is more like the OT than the other 2.

The effects weren't terrible. They just need some tweaking. Some of the pointless rambling needs a good trim. This film is way more salvageable than the horrible Hayden PT films.

I must disagree, TPM is just as bad (and at times worse) than either of the other prequels in every aspect.

I've just re-watched The Princess Bride (for the umpty-thumpteenth time) and that showed the power of well written dialogue to tell a story.

The production values, the photography and the score, even the direction are pretty basic and at times weak enough to wreck a lesser script, but the writing and the acting lift it well beyond anything in the Star Wars prequels and most of ROTJ.

I look forward to a really radical reworking of the prequels (including redubbing the worst of the dialogue acting human, alien and droid).

*clapclapclapclapclap*  Absolutely.  Any attempt to make the prequels legitimately *good* will have to involve making their stories nearly unrecognizable when compared to the original versions.

I'm still very apprehensive about what will happen when Ady gets his hands on them (and ROTJ, for that matter) - I think there's a high risk of a very intense backlash against Ady if he changes "too much" about the prequels/ROTJ.

I hope he just does his own thing.

He has gone out of his way to give people the theatrical cut of TPM and HD versions of the PT and SEs I'm if he could give us the OUT in HD he would too.

I'm sure that even after he does ROTJ:R and PT:R some of us would like further changes made but Ady's version are his projects, we can only hope to help.

You know what that's like Ash, you have your own projects on the go.

You must have missed where Adywan already confirmed his intention to make the ROTJ end battle the most impressive of all, since it now ends the 'whole' saga.  Rest assured it's gonna be epic Ghost.

I've no doubt that anyone interested in Adywan's edits will end up appreciating what he's able to do to 'enhance' his edited versions.  The majority of his changes are bound to be for the better going by his previous work.

It's not like he's replacing the originals for anyone that doesn't like his eventual choices.

I can't wait for ESB R, don't get me wrong, but I am personally more anxious for ROTJ and the PT. The story of ESB will still be told the same way, just in a visually more pretty way. Now for the PT, I can't wait to watch them get ripped apart.
