This is an attempt in enhancing the listener’s experience with the official British Harry Potter audiobooks read by Stephen Fry.
The released audiobooks were very standard with only audio of Fry reading the books. I’ve felt that with a franchise as big as Harry Potter, there should have been more effort put into taking the readers/listeners to that magical world created by J.K. Rowling.
These projects include ambience, sound effects and music taken from the films and video games.
If you’d like to hear these new audiobooks, send me a private message.

Have you heard the official clip they posted for ‘Back to Hogwarts’ this year?

Thank you so much! I’m hoping it won’t take too long to get the rest done, but I’m also working on other projects as well.

These are great! The sound effects, ambience and music are very tastefully done, they add quite a bit to the experience but don’t overwhelm.
I’m looking forward to hearing the next four books.

Yes, I have the first 22 chapters done. I’m busy with other projects, but believe me that it will be done. Along with the rest of the series.

I’m so excited for this! The idea reminds me of what Bluefax did with The Hobbit and Phil Dragesh with LOTR. I cannot wait to listen to these.
Yeah what a great idea.
Happy New Year!
Loved listening to these so far, and I’m looking forward to the series continuing 😃

By the way, do you think you could do the Jim Dale (US) versions sometime in the future, too?
I personally prefer Stephen Fry’s versions, there are a lot of fans of Jim Dale, too.

I think Jim Dale is great too, but I never really intended on doing versions for him as well. There is a group that’s done those kind of projects on the U.S. versions. I think they were called Leaky Cauldron Audiobooks, or something like that.

Fantastic idea, I would love to hear this experience!
Did you also use the music from the John Williams collection from two years ago?
The Complete Recordings and Recording Sessions from the rest of the movies are also great.
I’d suggest the OST from Hogwarts Mystery and the trailer music form the movies.
Maybe there are some jewels in there, or cues for certain scenes.
Other source music from the movies:
Trailer music
The game OST for 5 and 6 were rereleased last year with better quality under the name ‘EA Music Composer Series: James Hannigan Vol. 1-2 Soundtrack’

Interesting. I’ll have to take a look. I don’t really plan on using trailer music since it is composed for usually a montage, which trailers can be. I don’t know if it would go well, even though the trailer music for Deathly Hallows was brilliant. If you’re interested in the audiobooks, I can shoot you a PM.

Somebody had made a “Fan Soundtrack” for Hogwarts Legacy. Two tracks so far, but they might make more.
Check it out, and maybe you can ask permition to use these, if you like them?

It sounds great, but I’m fine with sticking with the film and game music, and by game music, I’m talking about the scores to the tie-in games that was released with each movie.

All right, that sound reasonable.
Question though: will you continue to use music from the older movie / game in the future books, or stick with the newer music tracks?
