I’ve been thinking about Glover for Lando ever since the movie was announced, but I never thought he’d do it. He seemed to be open to the idea in an interview I read the other day, though, so maybe it’ll come to pass.
I finally got around to watching Hail Caesar! and I’m now thoroughly convinced that Alden Ehrenreich is the right choice for young Han. I had no idea he was this good.
Don’t know if this is too much of a spoiler (if it is, it may be time for a separate spoiler thread for this, as we’re now starting to get actual news), but apparently Zoe Kravitz, Naomi Scott, and Tessa Thompson are being considered for a role in the film. Since these actresses are all women of color, there’s speculation that the role is in fact Sana Starros, Han’s former fake wife from the current Marvel comics. It makes enough sense with the timeline that I’m willing to buy it for now.

Freaking horrible casting. It stinks to say this, as I’m a fan of Donald Glover from Community to Atlanta, but he DOES NOT have the chops to pull off Lando. His voice is just not there. And Lando’s voice is very important to the character.
Maybe he can do a Lando voice? I’m guessing that he wasn’t cast thoughtlessly.

I don’t know the guy from Adam, so I don’t have a clue how good/bad a Lando he would make. Regardless, I lost all interest in this movie months ago.
They should dub his voice with Billy Dee’s so it fits in with Rebels.

Voice aside, I think Glover could do a great Lando-who’s-not-quite-Lando-yet. He’s an interesting blend of smooth and dorky.
