So how about Luke using the light saber to knock people over like a baseball bat? Do you guys agree light sabers are better in the prequels? I think they are better in the prequels. It’s cool seeing them cut through robots and walls and stuff.

The lightsaber only acts like a baseball bat in one scene in ROTJ. And, yes, it’s stupid. There’s no way the PT has better sabers though. I’d rather the lightsaber do something dumb once in a good movie than be awesome in a dumb movie. And the lightsabers do plenty of dumb things in the PT.

That scene is much worse than Mace doing it in ROTS in my opinion. He just shrugs it off like it’s a goofy toy, when last time we saw it, the most powerful Dark Sider in the galaxy was using it to dismantle two of the (arguably) most powerful Jedi ever.

Can’t think of why a light saber would absorb and dissipate lightning. But then again Light sabers don’t exist in real life anyway, so I can’t apply real life science to them.

Was Count Dookie’s lightsaber always this cool shade of red-violet, or this is an artifact of the Blu-rays? It’s been so long since I’ve seen AOTC that I don’t remember what the blade’s supposed to look like.

That’s supposed to be red. All of the blu rays have terrible grading, even the PT.
ATOC got slightly worse thanks to the Blu Ray’s colour grading.
