If anything most people remember Rey’s theme above all. Attack On The Jakku Village always sticks out to me as it has many memorable moments within. Especially Kylo Ren’s introduction which is the greatest villain intro theme of all time.

Author

I think Kylo’s theme is a little more instantly memorable, if for no reason that my daughters tend to hum it a lot. But Rey’s theme is wonderful.

Rey’s theme is the only piece of music I remember from TFA and I saw it three times in theaters.

Oh come on, you don’t remember

DUN DUN…DUN DUN DUN…

?

Why are you humming the opening bars to the Jurassic Park theme?

Just kidding, I don’t remember any music from Jurassic Park. Though I’m sure I’d recognize the theme if you hummed it for me.

The shot of Rey going down that hill with her theme accompanying it is unforgettable to me. I think we can all agree that that shot was incredible.

Yeah, that’s where it cemented into my brain. That was my “Whoa, I’m hearing a brand new Star Wars theme right now” moment.

I’ve heard the same thing with The Imperial March, so there.

I think The Imperial March is slightly overrated.

They hum that too. I’m not sure what your point is.

I consider “hum-ability,” for lack of a better word, an important aspect of a piece of music.

I think he’s calling your kids Space Nazis, dude. You gonna just take that?

I mean, no self-respecting Space Nazi’s father should take that kinda shit!

That’s funny coming from a guy who’s happy to make jokes about my parents beating me when I was a kid.

It’d be funny no matter who said it, but I agree the preceding tragicomic narrative added a certain contextual poignancy.

It was a great shot, but the over-analytical side of me is still wondering why she couldn’t bring her speeder up the hill, and instead decided to sled down the hill to her speeder.

Author
Time

Maybe she scavenged her way to the top of the hill?

Or maybe she wanted to park further out because it’s such a pain to find a space that’s close to the Star Destroyer on the weekends that it’s just easier to walk a bit longer.

Yes but then it ends awkwardly when the sled stops. I don’t know why but cinematically that shot seemed weird for me.

And in the time of greatest despair, there shall come a savior, and he shall be known as the Son of the Suns.

I’m going to need to see the scene again. That’s a pretty obscure complaint
