Just showed my friends (who had grown up watching the SE only) Harmy's Despecialized Star Wars. They loved it. One said "I get it now."
I'm fighting the good fight boys.
For anyone interested...

I lent my Harmy's to a friend this very afternoon.
Not a huge Wars fan - he's a Trek guy - but was interested in Harmy's work.

I really like that poster!
A picture is worth a thousand words. Post 102 is worth more.
I’m late to the party, but I think this is the best song. Enjoy!

Interestingly enough, the image of Leia is pretty similar to this one:

Woah, those covers are awesome. Which release was that? How might I find bigger versions of them?
This was the "last time" VHS release (at least here in northern Europe) in the mid-nineties. Here are the covers without text: http://s30.postimg.org/a8fv1dv4h/Star_Wars_by_John_Alvin.jpg
That's a great poster, I have one too. Cool find.

I'm not crazy about em, but they're much better than the "faces" versions released in the USA.
Those are pretty cool, though I am partial to the "faces" covers as they were what I grew up on.
We like the "faces" covers because everyone knows what we mean when we say "the 'faces' covers."
