As long as people are willing pay those prices they will continue to go up!
I have not been to a cinema in years and even this film can’t weaken my resolve.
I’m patient… I’ll watch it with my remote, fridge and potty nearby!
I thought I recognized your foul stench when I entered this forum!
Just saw BB-8 jamming with the band on The Late Late Show. I can’t recall any prequel characters doing that!
Where were you in '77?
Here’s a teaser for the feature length making-of doc that will be included with the blu-ray: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cICvrNL9sg0
I’m really happy they’re doing this. I’ve got fond memories of this kind of long documentary from ten or twelve years ago, but it feels like I haven’t seen a new one in a really long time.
The Prometheus one was excellent, as well as The Hobbit ones. There do seem to be less these days, however.
Managed to see it for the fourth time tonight, in 2D. Not as cool as 70mm IMAX, but the movie gets better every time I see it. I still laugh and get verklempt in the same places.
Sadly, I think it will be gone after this week, unless it hits the bargain theaters.
And I wish I hadn’t eaten those angus beef hot dogs. burrp!

I realize that this thread has been pretty much dead for roughly a month or so now, but it felt weird to make a new topic just for this one little detail about TFA.

Apart from the animation style, Nick’s Arnold wears a sweater; with his plaid shirt unlocked .Only Arnold’s cap remains unchanged from his original clay-animation wardrobe. This is a nice one.I done a study about this with the help of phd proposal writing service. I am a daily viewer of this site.

yes
is it done yet?
Star Wars concept artist Ian McCaig recently spoke at the Art and Industry of Imagination conference. He spilled some beans on The Force Awakens:
- Lucas initially wanted nothing to do with VII, but in a short while after pre-production began, he decided he wanted to submit a script. He brought in Ian and another prequel artist (possibly Doug Chiang, I missed the name) to the Ranch to help him realize his concepts. The script was rejected outright, as a result of…
- Disney’s banishment of anything mildly prequel-related. Usage of prequel-only characters, environments etc were banned, as to not incur the fan base’s wrath.
- Disney execs were reluctant to include non-Caucasian characters. The new trio were all initially all Caucasian, but it was JJ’s favoring of Boyega that brought about VII’s multi-cultured character set.
- A number of initial script ideas teased Anakin/Vader’s force ghost’s involvement, and Ian presented an idea so titillating (even to prequel-haters) along these lines that he had the audience clapping.
- After being questioned by an audience member, he responded that he was unable to confirm nor deny if Lucas’ script had any influence or effect on the Arndt/Kasdan/Abrams script – but strongly implied to the positive.

I’m just here because I’m driving tonight.
Hey, I didn’t say it, I just quoted a guy who paraphrased another guy!
I don’t find any of that hard to believe at all.

This sounds like a not terrible direction in which to go.
You probably don’t recognize me because of the red arm.
Episode 9 Rewrite, The Starlight Project (Released!) and ANH Technicolor Project (Released!)
That was a pretty solid theory
The more I think about that theory the more I have come to dislike it. It’s essentially the “No, I am your father” plot twist with Palpatine in place of Vader.
When I first saw Episode VII it bothered me that Rey learned all those force powers by herself without being taught it. But there’s elements of this in Ep V. Luke uses the force to get his light saber and it didn’t show anyone teaching him that anywhere previously. If he had learned that from Obi Wan when he was alive he could have stole the light saber from Darth if he wanted to and saved Obi Wan.
Yeah, also not only did Luke use telekinesis without training as well he also was able to defeat a Master lightsaber duelist without being taught any offensive or defensive lightsaber sequences. The scene where he’s being taught blast deflection doesn’t count.
I also thought the flame throwers were new to the series. But then when I rewatched a New Hope I saw that Lukes adoptive parents were burnt to a crisp. So I guess even the storm troopers had them in Episode IV.
According to Troops, it was a domestic dispute that got out of hand when Beru pulled out a thermal detonator. 😉
