That is what I am wondering. Maybe because it was one of the first edit posts for tfa that had clips

Sent V1.0 to every one who asked

I have sent the first draft to every one who asked. FYI the run time is 2 hours and 11 minuets even though the file says 2 hours and 5. My export failed right when the credits started so not all the credits are included.

Yeah I know. It’s not in my first draft

Most cuts work really well… i actually wounldnt mind the deleted Kylo on the Falcon scene… also, a weird cut back and forth when leia and han first see eachother… should be tightened up a bit

Yeah there is a few things that need to be changed

If it won’t work to leave the “reveal” of Han being Kylo Ren’s father until the bridge scene, why not just simply remove Snoke’s relevatory line early in the film? There are plenty of clues throughout that we will understand, without the abrupt drop. Han says to Leia that he saw their son, etc.

My stance on revising fan edits.

I did remove that whole scene it just doesn’t transition well I am still getting used to adding transitions. I even trimmed dialogue with leia to keep the reveal. I am going through my second edit now as there is some odd cuts and somethings do not work.

Iv gotta wholeheartedly agree with Lod Haseo concerning the fan edit idea of preserving the Kylo twist. It just isn’t worth it. All the things you guys would cut are things that bring meaning to the film and cutting them to preserve a twist just doesn’t make sense.

The scene with Snoke revealing Kylos lineage is incredibly important. It establishes the conflict within Kylo and also shows Snoke putting pressure on Kylo to not give in to the light.

The “Grandfather” line lets the audience know that Kylo doesn’t know or decides to ignore the true legacy of Darth Vader.

These are all reasons it simply doesn’t make sense to preserve a twist like this whilst sacrificing so many story elements and additions.
