Rogue One * Spoilers * Thread — Page 18

If you only saw old WWII movies set in just one theater of war, you would not see all the vehicles used throughout the entire conflict. It’s like asking why we didn’t see submarines in Patton.

Yeah, that’s what we’re seeing in shows like Rebels: Different Rebel factions bring different ships (the Rebels crew has A-Wings and a B-Wing) and then they all come together at the time of Jedi for the big fight.

It’s a cool concept, and even though the Rebel cell we see in Rogue One is the Yavin IV cell we saw in Star Wars, when we see them in the film there’s not really any need to drop troops on the Death Star, so it’s not a stretch to imagine they were moved out of the hanger before the pilots strapped into their X- and Y-Wings.

And the second comment is a psycho sewer dwelling troll. How typical.

I’m curious as to why Krennic gets his own class of shuttle. Are the Lambda class shuttles not good enough for him?

Author

Maybe it’s a class of shuttle that’s already old by this time? And the Lambdas didn’t see service until around ROTJ? We didn’t see one in ESB.

And the SE doesn’t count. 😉

It could be some sort of ISB (He is ISB, right?) specialty shuttle? We don’t see any ISB guys outside of the Death Star itself in Star Wars, so it’s not too big a stretch.

I kinda don’t like Kennric’s shuttle. It just looks kinda akward and not very aerodynamic… Also, it looks way too much like Kylo’s shuttle. I would think that Kennric should have gotten a Lambda class shuttle, or something similar to one.

Yeah I’m not particularly a fan of making up a bunch of new stuff, but it’s what we got!

The new brand of TIE fighter looks like somebody just tore off one of the solar panels from the triple-winged cloaking TIEs in LucasArts’ Rebel Assault II.

Has anyone else noticed that Saw Gerrera looses his hair between the various clips shown in the trailer(s)?

(source)

So either RO takes place over a longer period of time than previously assumed, or Saw looses his hair at some point for some reason.
The top photo is from one of the new trailer trailers, but it’s hard to tell where he is. Most people see to assume that he’s first seen on Jedha, which is most likely where he is on the second photo, but maybe he shows up some time earlier.

Could just be the lighting but his hair almost looks darker in the bottom one.

There’s been a lot of speculation lately after the BTS footage was released that we might get a flashback to when Jyn was younger. It could be that she meets Saw in this scene(s)?
(This would explain both the change in hair and the darker beard. And it’s a very cheap way to make the actor look younger without any fancy make-up effects.)
